The Quality of Quan's = Gone 5/2/2010

I was bringing my friend here for the first time after talking up the place. I went there in person around this time last year and it was great. Granted, I ordered take-out from there one time from visiting to this point in time, and it was not that good, but I chalked it up to ""no one's perfect"". We both agreed that the inside of Quan's was beautiful and very clean. However, once the waiter came over and said in a very brute manner ""what can I get you?"", the meal went downhill from there. We thought about what to order while requesting drinks. I asked if tea came with the meal, as I had forgotten if it did since the last time I was there, and he said ""I'll bring you tea"", which did not answer my question as to whether it cost extra or not. Then, when I ordered the fried rice as a side dish for both of us, I ordered with specific ingredients in it. He scoffed and said ""yeah okay"" before going back into the kitchen. Then, it just got worse from there. My friend received his soup as an appetizer and I asked if I could perhaps get my side order of white rice as an appetizer, too. He scoffed again and said ""oh sure, anything you want."" Even my friend made a comment once the waiter walked away about how rude he was and I agreed. When the fried rice arrived with our meal, there were onions in it, which my friend and I did not want, but we just ate around it. Of course, this comes to a big part of the visit that should not be skipped over. After not even going through most of our food, we both felt very sick. We developed headaches and nausea and finished prematurely not due to being full, but rather out of concern that perhaps the food either had MSG or some other ingredient, whether cooking or ""otherwise"", if you catch my drift, in it. The story ends with the both of us ending our Sunday afternoon trip early, going home sick and leaving the rude waiter a one dollar tip a piece. I will no longer go to this restaurant and will stick to places that require a longer drive, such as Asia Grille or Enn, if I am craving Chinese or Japanese food again. No one should go to a restaurant tolerating sarcasm every time they ask for something from the waiter and feeling sick from eating the food. If it was THAT much of an issue to ask for something different, then they should have just said so and we would have eaten elsewhere. Pros: Good location, parking, BEAUTIFUL interior Cons: Awful food, bad prices, no Sunday specials, RUDE service more

Best Chinese Restaurant Around 10/5/2009

I titled this ""Best Chinese Restaurant Around,"" but it might be the best Chinese restaurant I've ever patronized. If not the best, it's certainly way up there. However, there is a clear difference in locations. The Mansfield location only does takeout, and the food isn't nearly as good. Stick to the North Attleboro Quan's. Pros: amazingly delicious food (Try the Singapore noodles!) Cons: can get a little expensive more

Great Sushi in town 5/3/2009

I love this place, Quan's has a great atmosphere it is clean and bight and the staff is very friendly and engaging, very different from your average Chinese restaurant. The sushi is great and very fresh, I really enjoy the Chef's Special Maki, and the Spicy Yellow tail Roll, when I am not in the mood for sushi I like the pu pu platter, it's great, I actually saw it on the Phantom Gourmet website under great eight chinese food. They have some good drinks although they are on the pricey side but you should try a Stolli Dollli ( not to many though they pack a wallop lol) at any rate I would highly recommend a trip to Quan's whenever you get the chance. Pros: great sushi, fresh, clean and friendly Cons: Can be expensive more
