Sometimes you can find a good deal 7/20/2010

I read the review about how QFC is overpriced. OK, yes i agree. Some items are generally overpriced -- ie fruits and veggies and meat. But if you wait for the sales, then QFC becomes a great place to shop. I often buy the produce of the week that is on sale. For example, broccoli and cauliflower often go on sale for 99 cents a lb. That's pretty reasonable. I also peruse the meat department for meat that is on sale. Sometimes the fryer whole chickens go on sale and i can buy a whole chicken for 3 bucks. that's certainly a pretty good deal! I don't have time to review the flyers that come to my home, but since i have to go to the supermarket anyway, i just make it a habit to visit the sections of the supermarket and buy only what is on sale. I like that there's a Bank of America on site as well as a Starbucks. more

QFC - Quality Food Center 4/25/2006

I do most of my grocery shopping at QFC because there are two locations quite convenient to our daycare. I find the one at Bella Bottega to be the busiest but it is also my favorite. There is always someone at the customer service desk to cash in my lottery tickets for me =) whereas at the Redmond Way location you may have to wait quite a while for someone to come. Also, there is a Bank of America located at the Bella Bottega QFC which is where I do a lot of my banking. Not to mention the Panda Express which is good for a quick dinner. QFC has fair prices and can have some good sales. I find the staff to be very friendly as well. more

Love our local QFC 3/31/2006

The QFC in Bella Bottega is one of the best grocery stores in Redmond. They have a great selection of produce (with a decent selection of organics - nothing spectacular). The produce guys are always in there weeding out the old and stocking the new and are helpful when you ask a question. The books & magazines section is pretty extensive as are the selection of cards. There is not much I have to go to other stores to find, and if you ask, they will stock an item for you. The best part of this particular store is the wine gal. I don't know her name, but she is incredibly helpful if you can describe what you want and has offered me many great suggestions. I went in once looking for a particular bottle that they didn't have, but I noticed the next time I went in, they did! Both the deli and bakery are good. Turnover of checkers is low, and most of them are very efficient and friendly. Feels like a neighborhood grocery store should. more
