In Short
Founded in Seattle, Quality Food Center (QFC) has since spread throughout the Pacific Northwest to become one of the region's largest grocery chains. In 1998, QFC expanded its reach when it was acquired by grocery mega-corporation Kroger. All sores offer quality produce, meat and fish counters, fresh-baked goods, full-service delis and flower departments; many have pharmacies. The chain is also well-known for its comprehensive wine department--wine stewards are often present to suggest food pairings.
