Purple People Movers

They moved me from Indian Rocks to Tampa, on time worked hard, but dresser top was scratched. They said they were going to fix and return, but after a couple weeks of not getting any response to my calls or emails have finally made a complaint to BBB. The were paid in full and have no reason to keep the top, but I do not have my dresser top and have no clue if they have any intention in replacing. Any company that does not respond to a customer in this situation cannot be trusted. more

Purple People Movers moved us from Palm Harbor to the Atlanta area in February. I cannot say enough good things about them. They arrived on time (actually a little early), worked hard (as in non-stop), broke nothing and were friendly and professional. If you're looking to move in the Tampa Bay Area we highly recommend PPM. more

We had a mvove date all set up and confirmed. On the day they had assured us they would show up, they failed to come at all. We waited all day and they never came . We called many times and no one called us back. People in my office had used them many times in the past and they are all horrified at their treatment of us. They have lost many cumtomers. Stay away from these people, you just can rely on them. Pros: Non Cons: don't come when they agree to more

I am coming up on my 4th move with Purple People Movers and this IS the only moving company I will EVER use in this area. I moved from a 4800sft, 2 story place to a condo on the 10th floor of a high rise building. Despite so much to move and the fact that they had to use an elevator it still only took them 3 hours total to have all my things from the 4800sqft townhouse, and in my 10th floor condo! That being said...their price is HALF of the lowest price I have ever been quoted (and I have moved in Chicago, NC, and several times in FL). HANDS DOWN, the best movers I have ever had the pleasure of hiring! Pros: Excellent Service, Fastest move time, Best Prices PERIOD! Cons: NONE more

This is the second time we have used Steve and his crew to move our stuff. 1st move Steve and company emptied our PODS units as we started to rent in Saint Petersburg. 14 months later we bought a home and called around for quotes. Steve was still the best price and value. Our experience was a repeat of the first. They showed up on time (8 am start) and had us in our new home 1/2 mile away by 11:30am. Not bad for a 4 bedroom home.. Again, I would suggest that anyone who uses this company will be very happy with the service. Also Steve must treat his movers well, because 14 months later the same guys who moved us the first time were here again. That speeks volumes for Steve and how he respects his employees. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!! And a good price also!! These guys were 15 minutes early. Called the night before to confirm, and gave a set price instead of an hourly rate. They put down a covering over the floors to prevent any dirt or tracking in and brought to my attention scratches already in my furniture to prevent future issues. This company scammed me. They did a no show on moving day! The driver hung up on my wife telling her they had too many moves booked. Their website and business cards say "Member of Better Business Bureay" but they have an unsatisfactory record. I wish I checked this before I hired them. Pros: No show Cons: No show more
