I had always heard the service was bad here, but now I know first hand it is. I had to be fitted for a bridesmaid gown that I wasn't ordering myself--the bride was handling those purchases on the east coast for us--and after explaining to the consultant that I wasnt purchasing a gown in her store, she wouldn't fit me without charging me $10! Are you kidding me?? It takes 5 minutes of your time to measure me and you want to charge? I felt like I was being punished. Ladies--avoid this place at all costs. more

I have never had a bad experience with these women. I started buying my gowns there in spring 2004. Every time I go into the store, I always leave with the exact gown I need (which is wonderful because I'm in between plus and regular sizes). When I wear the gowns, I always receive compliments on how I look and how gorgeous the dresses are. I even wore one of my gowns when I sang for royalty in Europe last year. As for "rude" women, I have never been mistreated in any way. They were kind to me when I first went in with my mother looking for my first gown, and they are always willing to bend over backwards to help me. The women have kept the store open for me multiple times. A few years ago, I brought them a necklace I'd been given (that didn't match anything I owned), and the owners helped me find a great gown to go with it. When people say the ladies were rude/unhelpful, I have to wonder if there wasn't some sort of rudeness on the customers' part that led to them being "mistreated". Like I said earlier, I've bought my gowns there for years. I have over 10 gowns from this store. This is honestly one of the best stores nationwide. I've looked in bridal stores across the country and have yet to find a shop Iike it. more

I've checked this place before for Prom dresses and even my wedding gown. The selection was always nice and unique, dresses that I didn't see anywhere else in the Tri-Cities. That's important when it comes time for Prom because you don't want the same dress as everyone else, right?! The employees were polite and let me try on everything I wanted without being pushy. I went to the Purple Parasol when I was shopping for my wedding gown. They were able to make an appointment for me to go in and have their full attention, they helped me go through the dresses and find one I liked. They even found some that maybe I didnt care for by looking at it but loved when I tried it on. That is how I found the dress I got. I was able to get other supplies there as well, my veil, flower girl dress, etc. The price was not bad at all, either! They had a very nice selection of wedding gowns. They even have a good selection of other formal gowns and tuxedos for the guys. more
