Purple Cafe & Wine Bar

The busiest restaurant in the plaza. So glad Purple is just up the street from my place. more

This is one of our all time favorite places to eat. We're never disappointed and always have a fabulous meal. They have one of the best wine selections we've found in this area, which seems to be fully stocked all the time. We've never ordered something that they were 'currently out of'. The food is very tasty--the salads, appetizers and main courses. My personal favorites are the goat cheese and roasted peper salad and the gorgonzola/pear pizza--yum. Unlike the Purple Cafe in Kirkland, this one isn't so loud/gregarious and seems much more intimate. The atmosphere is warm and cozy in the winter and open and airy in the summer. more

The Purple Cafe is a great date place. It's casual, yet nice and they have a great wine and cheese selection. The food is excellent, and it's a fun place to sit outside and enjoy the sun on a beautiful afternoon. Dinners are a little more expensive here, but worth the price. Only thing I'd change is a little more diversity on the dessert menu. Also they have a nice separated room for larger parties, etc. Love this place! more

Purple Cafe and Wine Bar in Woodinville is a little smaller than its sister in Kirkland, but the food is just as good, and I would say the service is just a tad better as well. We had a 6:30 reservation but were starving and arrived at 6:00, thinking we could have a drink and appetizer at the bar, but the hostess politely and quickly went ahead and seated us at our table. The restaurant was almost full, and there were people waiting, so it was quite nice to get seated so fast. The wine flights are a fun way to sample new-to-you wines, but the wine list is extensive should you wish to have a glass of one of your favorites. The food is good and moderately priced. The grilled cheese appetizer with tomato basil soup is to-die-for. more

Purple is a trendy, San Francisco-esque wine bar/restaurant in the Hollywood Hill Vineyards shopping area. They have an extensive wine list (local and global varieties) and have many wines available by the glass. They also offer wine dinners and educational classes. The lunch and dinner selection includes great salads, creative pastas, sandwiches, individual pizzas, and various seafood/fish/meat entrees. On Sundays, they serve brunch from 11am-3pm, and currently feature 1/2 price bottles of wine all day. The desserts are spectacular, and the (highly potent!) coffee is served in a French press. My husband and I have eaten there several times, and the service has always been careful and attentive. There is seating outdoor and indoors (with an upstairs loft). We tend to prefer the outdoor tables, since the indoor area is often crowded and noisy. more
