Punch Pizza 4/9/2006

If you are in St. Paul, and you are looking for a great restaurant, look no further than Punch Pizza. I have tried many Pizza places in St. Paul, and this is definately the best. It is especially good for college students, because they give discounts if you ask them for a card. Located on Cleveland Avenue near the St. Kate's. more

The only reason I went to this place was because there was a coupon for a free pizza in the Sunday Pioneer Press. I picked up a friend and we went for dinner. Once we were there, we were told a whole pizza would only feed about one person, and that we should order salads if we were going to share. We ordered caesar salads, and they were really fishy. When we got our pizza, we were surprised to see that not only was it more than enough for both of us, we had to bring some home. I feel we were a little misled by our server, but, oh, well, it's ok. The pizza was fine--nothing to rave about, but certainly a nice change of pace from the normal chains. I would give it a neutral rating, fi there was one! more

Delicious and authentic 8/29/2005

Punch Neapolitan Pizza is a cozy little place on Cleveland Ave in St. Paul. It has a tiny outdoor dining area in the parking lot, and a bright dining room. It's always packed, and you often have to shout to be heard by your dining companions, but it's worth it. The pizzas are neapolitan style, which is thin and crisp, fired in a wood burning oven. It's topped with lots of sauce, some non-traditional toppings, herbs, and fresh mozzarella. You can get it "wet" for an extra price, which is worth it. Wet style adds more tomatoes and olive oil, which makes it rich and delicious. It's very different from most other pizza places in town, but definitely worth checking out. more

the best pizza in the cities 8/19/2005

Punch is our favorite place to take visitors! The pizza is different than any other pizza you will ever have. It is on a crust similar to foccacia bread. They offer a wide variety of ingredients that are also different than just going to Pizza Hut. The price is very comparable to other restaurants. It is a small restaurant with a great feeling to it. If you go during a busy time call ahead or be prepared to wait. more

best pizza in st paul! 6/26/2005

punch offers a comfortable decor in a cozy restaurant right off highland park. personal sized pizzas are very reasonably priced, and leave you lots of extra food (potentially split-able with 2 people, although i think they prefer you don't do that). service is fast, and they offer take-out. the gormet pizza combines unique tastes together. it's a casual environment and kid-friendly. long-lines because the pizza is great, but the line moves quickly! try their take out menu too! perfect first date place, as it's casual and fun! more
