Yuk - went there for lunch last week and although the service was fine the food wasn't. The pork chops were deep fried not pan fried - I can assure you, that's not German. I ordered the Tuna Melt which isn't German to begin with but Yellow AMERICAN cheese?? Jeez Louise at least give me Muenster on it. And the potato salad was potatoes and mayonnaise - that's it. Potato and mayo - how about a GERMAN potato salad?? Nasty - the German has gone right out of Pumpernickels more

Great German food Exits on LI 8/17/2005

The Best German Food is Zum Stantish in Queens, But if you live Suffolk, the best is Pumpernickels. The Jagerschnitzel is excellent and goes great with Weiss Beer. Family friendly so bring the kids! They also have a full bar where you can watch the game with your steak and beer. more
