decor better than food 9/8/2011

Our entrees were fine but the french onion had absolutely no taste. Wouldn't buy again. Also salads cost extra. more

PB is OK 9/28/2009

I've been to it twice since my daughter has been attending Kent. A good local place - survives by it atmosphere and lack of competition in its local - most other area eateries are pubs. Food is fair to good, service can be slow on busy eve - (staffing issues?) more

College Town Restaurant 4/11/2006

I used to go to the Pufferbelly when my parents were visiting me for the day while attending Kent State University. They have really good food for reasonable prices. It was one of the nicer sit down places to eat in town. They have burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups etc. I don't usually eat Sandwiches, but I have to say that theirs is really good. They also have really good french onion soup. It is a nice place to go with a family and there is a little bit of history there too. The building is located in downtown Kent at a real rail car. more

This restaurant is high class all the way. Positioned on a railway, it has a real railcar feeling and atmosphere. The prices are a little higher than most, but the food and drinks are excellent. The pork chops are especially good. There perfect place for a quiet evening with a loved one or a family, this restaurant is a Kent staple. Stop by and enjoy it. more

the pufferbelly has a great atmosphere has a great atmosphere and a decent staff... thats all it has going for it. the food is pick and choose and realy depends on your tastes. I personally have had better food at some of the local bars... so you have been warned. more
