Great Little Thrift Store 5/14/2014

I have visited this store on many occasions for several years. They are now half the size they were but they still carry fantastic bargains. They are still located in the same building but have consolidated to just one side. I have noticed their hours have changed and are now from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. I always find great items and at very great prices. The workers are very nice and so helpful, especially if I am looking for something I don't see. more

How Do We Get The Word Out 9/22/2010

The PTA Thrift Shop has operated for 50 years with all volunteers, receives n new and gently worn clothing, tons of books, house wares, purses, ties, belts, shoes, gowns, small furniture, patterns, fabric, fabrics, knitted and crocheted blankets, jewelry, baby items, frames, sports items, crafts, office products, records, nameless items that bring fond memories at those historic prices but we need to get the word out because the shop isn't going to survive these economic times and may be forced to close its doors if more people don't continue to donate and shop in the shop. The prices for the items give back to the community and the monies from the shop give back to the schools and with the extreme budget cuts that the California School Boards, Principals, and Teachers are having to work with the shop is honored to come along side of the schools by giving back to the schools with the funds the shop generates but it can’t do that without help. Please spread the word about this little shop on La Habra Blvd. more

great honest store with great prices 6/26/2008

this pta thrift store has survived for 50 years because of all the dedicated volunteers that come tuesday thru friday 9:30 to 2:30 pm and EVERY SATURDAY 10:00 to 1:00 pm . the prices are the lowest that i have seen in all the surrounding area thrift stores. this store has some great stuff and i have always been treated very good when shopping there. the money they make on donated items ALL go back into the community to help feed, clothe, scholarships, medical and dental help for the children of the community. always when i have items in my home that i can not use anymore will always be donated to the la labra pta thrift shop. love all you volunteers you give so much love !!!! thank you !!!!!!!! more

PTA Thrit Store of La Habra (Its so much fun) 10/28/2007

The thrift store opened on July 3,1958 and will have its 50 th year anniversary in July 08. In the 49 years the shop has never had a paid employee. We provide money for the schools. We fund each PTA in this area needed playground equipment, field trips,Grad Night, and money for the school nurses. We also provide 10 scholarships to graduates at La Habra and Sonora High Schools each year. All the money we make goes back to the schools and the children. Come check us out we have many weekly specials and bring your donations. Its fun to shop at the PTA Thrift Store. more

A tiny thrift store... 12/20/2005

Its almost easy to miss this store. Its small and in a pretty dead row of stores. Its only open Tuesday through Friday from 10-2:30 (or something close to that) and Saturdays (sometimes) from 10:00-1:30. Volunteers from local schools run the store. Each week, a different school is in charge of supplying the volunteers and each school comes up with discounts for the week. Its a rare occasion that I come upon anything worth talking about. Maybe little things here and there, but I think the volunteers get their hands on most of the "good stuff"! :) However, they do have very reasonable prices. If you can find clothes that you like, they are really cheap. Books too...many thrift stores charge way too much for books these days. Here they are 50 cents or something like that. Most of all though, you help the schools by shopping there. more
