Prushko's Tire & Propane Gas Co

Had a very low tire the other day (9/8/16) while in Monroe, CT. and pulled in to Prushko's Tire and Propane to get air so I could make it home. Guess what, the older gentleman and I use that term very loosely, flat out refused to help and sent me on my way. In the state of CT. it is the law that any business that sells gasoline "shall provide for free public use an air compressor for the purpose of tire inflation during the hours such premises are open for business". I have in the past purchased fuel from this place, obviously not any more. I was not completely aware of the name of the place until I was driving out of the lot, with my still very low tire when I noticed the full name, kind of ironic it has TIRE in the title. They should give the option of negative stars for ratings on this site. more

This is one of the rare gas stations in the area where they still use gas station attendants to pump your gas. Prices are competetive and the service is friendly. The owner is there basically 7 days a week and will always make an effort to say hello to you. Nice feature of this gas station is that they have their own propane tank where as the owner will put propane into your propane canister for your grill. Prices for the propane are always higher on the weekends. Nice convenient location right on Route 111 across from the Big Y Shopping Center in Monroe. more
