Went there for dinner last Friday night with family on a whim and WOW!! I must whole-heartedly agree with the other reviewer-this is a far better fare than Carrabbas and Macaroni Grill!!! First, we ordered some chianti, which wasn't bad if ya like it, and then we ordered the mussels to eat along with the complimentary salad and garlic rolls (I swear, they must serve these rolls in heaven-calling them delicious is a gross understatement). This combination filled us up quite a bit, but we made certain to at least taste our main dishes before we boxed them up to take out. I had the chicken ripeino w/ fettucini alfredo, my other cousin got the angel hair pasta primavera, and her sister ordered the cannelloni blanco-ALL of it was outstanding!!! We're still talking about that meal almost a week later! This restaurant is great!!! From the cozy, candelit ambience, to the great customer service from management on down, to the wide varieties of food selections, I can see no wrong here! If you're looking for a great meal at a reasonable price in Duluth, look no further! Take my word for it, Provino's is it!! Pros: Ambience, GREAT FOOD, Awesome Customer Service Cons: Can't think of any! more

small but nice 12/8/2006

Provino's off of Pleasant Hill was a cozy enviornment. I liked the style, my server, and the food. Although the portions weren't as big as I thought they would be the garlic rolls were still very tasty. It is a change from all those "non-cozy", big, city-like restaurants. Provino's is like a little Italian atmosphere. Pros: service, price Cons: the portions of food more

I've tried the Chicken Parmagiana at most every Italian spot in town, and Provino's measures up to the best. Moderately priced, plentiful portions, I was pleased and fulfilled when we left. We noticed this restaurant while dining at the Melting Pot next door. It is a nice change from the Macaroni Grills and Carrabba's of the world. more
