Worst

I went their for lunch before going whale watching, I had a teriyaki chicken sandwich that was chewy (gross!) and it came with a 1 oz bag of plain lays potato chips. I was disgust...

Plan an event at Proud Mary's!! 11/15/2010

We had our son's rehearsal dinner at Proud Mary's in August. I can't say one negative comment except we wished they stayed open later. The food, beverages, service and entertainment was superb, not to mention the beautiful coastline view. The personal touch and attention to detail were second to none. Thanks Proud Mary's staff, you are all the best!!\r \r more

Great Family Getaway for an enjoyable meal! 11/11/2010

Our family of five make a weekly visit to Proud Mary's to socialize with each other as our lives are so busy. The warm family atmosphere and ocean scenary brings our family serenity and peace to talk about our day. The prices are affordable for a family of five because we have in our budget as a weekly getaway. My daughters have their favorites and my husband and I have ours. Our family loves it. In fact, our family from Dallas Texas, Cathedral City and friends from Victorville loved the food too! We always make it a family getaway. more

Great Food and Atmosphere! 11/9/2010

My wife and I decided to go down to the Dana Point Harbor and seek out a place for lunch. We decided on Proud Mary's. We knew we picked the right place when we arrived. The hostess was attentive and the view in the outdoor dining area was spectacular and comfortable. Once seated our server came over and was very personable and attentive for the rest of our lunch. The salad was fresh and delicious and the grilled Ruben is worth coming back for over and over again. Outstanding! more

Great Private Evening Event Venue 11/9/2010

Having the roof and patio windows open and the heaters on while enjoying a ocean sunset for our Game Show Cast Rehearsal dinner/dance held Oct. 26th was fantastic. The folks walking the harbor were jealous as they could hear the DJ playing Disco and see the retro costumed guests dancing but couldn't come in. \r \r Sure beats four false walls and a roll in bar or being crammed into a party room off a restaurant with no real privacy. My guests felt like VIPs and were treated as such by the staff. \r \r The pasta buffet was excellent and the well drinks are made with most places call brands. The house wine received rave reviews as did the ambiance. I guess the Bloody Mary that Nick makes is awesome.\r \r Can't wait to go to their PM Club evening themed dinners with entertainment...... more

Evening celebration @ PM's! 11/8/2010

Last week we had our son's rehearsal dinner at Proud Mary's Restaurant, and what a delightful experience!! We had the entire resteraunt to ourselves. It looked beautiful all decorated with black linens, candles, flowers, and the tables were set up exactly how we asked. The ambiance was unbelievable, and being on the water was gorgeous! Our personal waiter, Garrett, was amazing! At our beck and call the entire evening - he was so helpful, polite, and respectful to everyone. And the Manager, Ben, made sure the evening went PERFECT!\r Proud Mary's has always been a part of our family - we used to take the kids to the harbor on their big wheels ... and now his wedding rehearsal dinner there! In response to below negative comment. I am a co-owner of Proud Mary's Restaurant and have just read the unfortunate experience the patron has had. I apologize to you for the bad experience you had. We haven't had a incident with food poisoning in 34 years of business, however, It could happen. There may be flies on the patio. I don't know why you got sick, however, symptoms of Salmonella food poisoning generally begin between eight to 72 hours after ingesting cthe food contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. please ""Google"" this. Once again, I am very sorry you had this misearable experience at Proud Mary's Restaurant. I would like to personally apologize to you if given the chance.\r Steve\r more

Dirty 5/28/2010

I went their for lunch before going whale watching, I had a teriyaki chicken sandwich that was chewy (gross!) and it came with a 1 oz bag of plain lays potato chips. I was disgusted by all the flies everywhere but I figured hey its the harbor. I didn't feel too good on the boat but thought maybe its sea sickness. I was violently ill for the next 3 days and my doctor told me it was symptomatic of food poisoning/salmonella from most likely undercooked chicken!!! I can't even think of proud mary's without feeling sick! more

Great breakfast - friendly satff 5/6/2010

Proud Mary's is fantastic! We head there nearly every Sunday for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Proud Mary's has a great patio so you can watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. We can't wait to try it for dinner! Pros: patio, 'make your own' items Cons: arrive early or expect a wait more

Proud Mary's - Our Favorite Restaurant in Dana Point 6/9/2008

We love Proud Mary's, it was our favorite restaurant in Dana Point especially for breakfast. We would watch the boats go out and the people walk by. Great place to take friends and family. We have now moved to South Carolina, but have a picture in the living room of us sitting at a table enjoying a cup of coffee. more
