Promenade Dance Studio

I was referred to Promenade Dance Studio by a friend who used them for her dance lessons for her wedding. My husband and I got married two months ago and needed to learn a few moves for our first dance. I am SO glad we took lessons because all eyes were on us and our first dance was perfect. We had fun taking lessons and our instructor Joe made the lessons fun. Promenade Dance Studio is very professional and affordable. I had a great experience and want to take more dance lessons just for fun. Thank you Joe for allowing my husband & I to show off our waltz during our special day. more

My boyfriend and I have been at Promenade for about 2 months. We love the lessons and the new makeover! (Two thumbs up for the bar.) I think I'm telling the same story as the other reviewers, but it is all true. We originally wanted to learn a couple formal dances for my sister's wedding, but we ended up really enjoying the lessons, specially salsa dancing. Now, we make it a habit to come at least once a week to a lesson. It is the best stress reliever from a long work week. It's been great for my boyfriend and I to make sure to do something together once a week too. We're happy to have found them! <3 more

There's no question that having a nice first dance was a priority for us. We went to another place first that claimed to be ""Orange County Wedding Specialists"" with the whole website and everything. That was such a waste! Boring and not caring. So we called Promenade, where I know most people would have just given up on lessons. OMG! Such a difference! Fun! Caring! And my fiance totally digs the whole thing. Our dance lessons are the one thing we look forward to each week with all the ""chores"" we are trying to get done for the wedding. I am excited to show off our moves to our guests. There really is a difference in studios, and I am so thankful and blessed to have found Promenade Dance. Love you guys!!! ;) more

Joe was fantastic! My new hubby and I took lessons for our wedding dance. We could not stop laughing and have the best time on every lesson. Maybe the wine before each lesson helped too. :) Joe gave us the best dance. Much more than we thought we could do. We danced to Jack Johnson ""Better Together."" Looking at the other reviews, I have to say they are all right. Promenade is the best dance studio in all of Orange County. I have been taking lessons with Promenade for 4 years. I used to take lessons at another studio back in Texas, so when I moved here, I knew what to look for in a dance studio. The teachers are real people, and professional. There is a reason I think they have won every award there is. They don't make it intimidating. the studio is always fun and upbeat. Every time I am having a bad day, I just go to a group class or schedule my private lesson and it makes my day!!! I am so happy that the dance studio is so laid back and not snooty or cold. And even more, I know that I have the best instructor who knows how to teach me and get me to my goals. My favorite things are the dance nights with live music and shows. more

Promenade is just a great studio, and my teachers, Tricia and Espie, were amazing. I needed to learn a couple of moves to be able to dance with my girlfriend who already knew how to dance. I didn't like that she could dance with other people, but not me, and we had a Christmas party to go to with her work. So, I called a few studios, and believe it or not, Promenade was the only one who actually answered my questions and helped to through the process and let me know what to expect. That's why I booked with them. Katelyn was great on the phone and in greeting me, and made me feel completely at home. I had Tricia for my first lesson, and she showed me a few steps to the salsa and swing. My girlfriend already knew how to salsa dance, so it was important for me to know if I was going to be able to sufficiently dance with her. Tricia put me at ease with that. I travel a lot for work, so I must have been a scheduling nightmare, but Tricia was great in accommodating me for when I was in town. Morning lessons, weekend lessons, and night lessons. After I got a little more confidence that I know the steps, I started going to the salsa group class that Espie taught. It was good to be able to dance with other people and learn that I'm not the only one who is self-conscious! It was great learning some more moves and build more confidence. I did about 10 lessons at first and then a few more to cram before her Christmas party. The end of the story is that my girlfriend was shocked and said it was the best thing that any man had ever done for her. I was still a newbie, but the party went great, and I did achieve a goal I really didn't know if I could. I loved the whole experience and how the really accommodated my needs. more

Like most guys, I was not wanting to take lessons for our wedding, but after a lot of coaxing, my fiance made me find a dance studio for our first dance at our wedding. Hesitantly, I called and scheduled our first lesson. After my hissy-fit on the day of our lesson, when my fiance, Kara, and I showed up, I had to admit I was wrong about taking dance lessons. I haven't been to another studio, but what I hear is that there is no other studio like Promenade. It isn't your typical dance studio; it looks more like a lounge. The football game on the TVs, the dim lights, and music we like to listen to made us feel much more comfortable than I would have thought. I was hoping originally to just take 1 or 2 lessons, and I found that I liked it and I like the time my now new wife and I spent together that we put together a great first dance that literally ""floored"" the guests at our wedding. We also found time to learn a few salsa steps and swing steps, which was great, because we had a large variety of music played at the reception. It was nice to completely enjoy the day. We have been crazy since returning from the honeymoon, be we are looking forward to getting back over there to now spend time together learning and having a fun date night.
