Good: The fact that they showed me what I needed, Gave me options, and thoroughly explaned it in a way I could understand.. Other: I rarely write reviews unless I'm angry, like most of us, but every once in awhile, a place will go out of their way for you that really makes a difference. I had taken my 2003 Explorer to the dealer where I usually go for service. They told me that I needed an axle on the rear and wanted over $800.00 to fix it. A friend of mine referred me to Pro_Automotive for a second opinion. I took it there and they put the vehicle in the air, and actually took me out and showed me a crackd cv boot and told me I could. more

I"M IMPRESSED!! 3/19/2009

Wow!! I've never written a review, but you guys are GREAT! I took a 2001 Honda Accord that I was going to buy to you for your used car inspection. Your honest appraisel of the car made me Not buy it. I'm glad I didn't because I found another car cheaper & in better shape. You have my business. Thank You, Phil more

Pro Automotive & Tire sucks 2/17/2007

bad diagnose I Left my Ford Taurus at Pro-Automotive & Tire in Tacoma, Washington to diagnose vehicle noise. Later they called and said that my car failed a Cylinder Block Test which indicated a blown head gasket; they also said that I had a leaky radiator, that I need a serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulley. They also said that I needed to flush my transmission. The transmission was rebuilt by AAMCO one week before we brought the car to Pro-Automotive & Tire. We brought the car to Van Cleve Ford in Morton to find out if the car was worth saving or not. We told them that if there was more than a blown head gasket that we would be looking to buy a new car from them. They ran a pressure test and found no leaks. Checked for engine miss, and ran a computer test and found no problems with the engine. They did replace our idler pulley. I’m not sure what happened at Pro-Automotive & Tire in Tacoma, but I am sure that I’ll never bring another car there again. more
