I have received care from this office for 8 years. Dr. McCorccle is an amazing doctor and I have endured this offices mistreatment for many years solely because of his caring nature and wisdom with patient care. Unfortunately, patients have left this office due to staff. After numerous issues consisting of: No call backs after testing/procedures, No call backs after many, many messages left on Nurse Triage Line, waiting for hours to see your Dr, and mishandling of appointment booking, I have been forced to seek services elsewhere. These are just a few of the lesser offenses.
The main issue is billing. After any appoint, I pay, knowing I will receive bills for months stating I did not pay my bill. Some advise, please keep all and every receipt from this office. The receipts saved me from being sent to collections. For years I received bills I didn't owe. Calling Phyllis in billing will not alleviate the incessant mistakes.
The problems that broke the camels back after 8 years of care are as follows:
#1: Mistakes with appointment booking. I almost missed important testing during my second trimester because of booking issues. I finally had to call after not hearing from this office for 2 months. They made a rushed appointment for testing the next day so I wouldn't be too far along for testing to be preformed. If there is issues with a yearly check up, no problem. But, when booking issues begin to infringe on my unborn child, this makes me very uncomfortable...
#2: I submitted my new drivers license and paperwork for my name change after getting married. 5 months later, no change. That's okay, it was a mistake. Phyllis in billing walked to the front desk with me to request they change my name. She watched them scan my license again, and told them to change my name. It still took another two drivers lisence scans to make the 15 second change. Over all, it took one year and a half to get them to switch it.
#3: Incorrect billing (for 5 years). Mistakes do happen, however, this offices billing department haunted me. Being pregnant with our first child we set up a payment plan with Phyllis from billing. However, we kept getting bills for hundreds of dollars because Phyllis kept billing us through self pay instead of insurance. After numerous phone calls, and months of faulty billing, she assured me my account was switched to "insured" and that we would start paying our monthly installment with the front desk...Weirdly, each time we tried to pay our monthly installment, the front desk staff told us "it doesn't show you owe, so you can pay next time." I tried to pay numerous times, but office staff would not accept payment. Now, all of a sudden it does show we owe. Nearly $700 in backed up payments. I told Phyllis about the front desk confusion and her reply..."it is the patients responsiblility to pay." She refused to admit her office had made, yet another, mistake. Instead, she blamed the me for the staffs repeated mistake and refusing my payment. I explained how upset I was at her blaming the responsible party, and her lack of organization throughout the years. I was completely neglected and mistreated by her. I told her I was going to file a complaint with her supervisor and request a transfer to a new office.
The review is long, but it is only highlights of my frustrating journey with Primrose OB/GYN. I am very disappointed to loose Dr McCorccle, but I can't continue to fret for months after a single yearly appointment. It has been a nightmare being pregnant with this office. I wish my first pregnancy could have been marked with more support from some of the staff. Unfortunately, the whole patient experience has left me exhausted and playing clean up. New motherhood is overwhelming enough without having to play detective and chase your tail until the delivery of your baby.
