Not worth the money 8/1/2008

My husband and I tried Primo's a bit after moving into the area. I thought it would be a nice place to have an occasional romantic dinner. When I called for reservations for a Saturday evening, i was told that the only opening was 6:30. It was a bit early but we decided to take this time. When we arrived, the place was nearly empty, with only two other occupied tables. Despite this fact, they seated us right next to a family with children. I don't really mind children dining out but since my hubby and I were having a romantic dinner we would have liked a more private table. It is a huge pet peeve when restaurants do this - seat people right next to each other when they have plenty of space. Pros: Food was pretty good Cons: Customer service was not great more

A steakhouse which is mostly excellent, except THE STEAKS! ...and some waitstaff needs personality 4/2/2008

{My party of 5 dined on a Tuesday evening} The atmosphere was relaxing...pleasant, quiet but cheerful. Waiter was a little better than adequate, but with absolutely no show of personality. All appetizers were remarkable. We had the bar-bq shrimp, rosemary shrimp, stuffed mushrooms (i usually don't like mushrooms), ahi-tuna and salmon. My crabmeat and red-pepper soup was great. Much sweeter than I would have expected, but not in a bad way. I recommend any of the above-mentioned. Now the negatives: The Caesar was the blandest I've ever had. Maybe if you prefer very light-tasting dressing, this Caesar is for you. My friend had the sensation. I sampled it and enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it over the Caesar. My steamed broccoli with hollandaise was tart with lemon to the point of almost being inedible. My 8oz filet was ordered medium rare only because I figured it would be so thick, it would be close to rare anyway. Wrong! (I usually order rare). 3 of us ordered this filet med-rare. They were all over-cooked to medium or more, and appeared dry inside and out. They tasted dry as well. I've had a much better filet at Texas Roadhouse for 1/2 of this 26.95 train wreck. I would almost like to say it was seasoned very well, but it was too over-cooked and dry to make an accurate judgment of it's seasoning. I am a steak critic by hobby only; but of all the high-dollar steakhouses, no one has beat Fleming's, in my opinion. On economy, I go Texas Roadhouse, then Outback. With the right staff, these chains are very consistent. Pros: Valet parking, atmosphere, wine selection, great-tasting appetizers Cons: Indifferent wait staff, over-priced, dry, over-cooked filets, very tart hollandaise more
