After reading the mixed reviews on this site, I was hesitant when several friends suggested we try this restaurant. Was I glad I listened to them. The restaurant is casual, yet elegant. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. And the food was scrumptious. The crab dip was excellent. Several of the members of our group opted for the Caesar salad which was not only delicious, but entertaining as it was prepared table-side. I ordered the filet mignon, as tender as it was tasty. My fiancee and I have had a wonderful experience each time here. The filet has always been delicious. Also, hey make the ceasar salads right there in front of you. I think they're some of the best in the Triangle. I love also that the atmosphere lends you to dress up or go dressy casual. I ENJOY A GOOD PIECE OF BREAD WHILE I AM LOOKING AT THE MENU. THIS WASN'T GOOD. WHEN I ASKED THE WAITER WHAT THE WHIPPED STUFF IN THE BOWL WAS HE SAID IT WAS MARGERINE. I TOLD THE WAITER THAT I DIDN'T EAT MARGERINE COULD I PLEASE HAVE SOME BUTTER. HE WENT OFF TO THE KITCHEN AND WHEN HE RETURNED HE TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY BUTTER. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A TIPOFF. I AGREE MORE PEOPLE EAT MARGERINE THESE DAYS BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHARGE WHAT THEY CHARGE AND NOT EVEN OFFER BUTTER THEN THIS TELLS YOU SOMETHING. IT TELLS YOU THAT THEY CUT CORNERS. THE MEAL WAS DECENT BUT IN NO WAY WORTH THE PRICE. WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY TITLE ""GO TO THE BARN"" NOT THE GREATEST EITHER, BUT DEFINITELY A BETTER WAY TO SPEND TOO MUCH FOR A MEAL.
