Find Another Vet!!! 11/15/2010

I was recently informed that one of her staff left to open her own vet. I am not shocked because the staff just is horrible. The fees are high and they really resolve any issues with your pet. I know my pet just kept getting sicker and also Dr. Martin kept telling me was to medicate my poor furry babies. Only after I got a second opinion did I realize that she really had no clue had to treat my pets so she just charged a lot until she figured it out. My total bill was $1500 just for blood work and x-rays so she could tell me my cat needed a specialist that would cost another $500. Turns out my cat did not need any extra service I was told the blood work revealed he was diabetic.\r \r Don't waste your time. Maybe because I am a senior citizen and they saw me coming because I would do anything for my pets but I would not go here again. more

Money and More Money 4/20/2010

The vet doctors are nice and kind when you FIRST arrive but once they realize that your pet may have needs such as allergies or some other form of "concern" they will either suggest you specially order dog/cat food from them or get blood work.\r \r If they suggest any testing about your pet..watch out. They will refer you to Annapolis for follow up that will cost anywhere from $500 or more.\r \r I find them only concerned about greed and what the person can pay for his/her pet. I say look around and ask many, many questions. Dr. Martin can treat you sometimes like you are an idiot so make sure you know what the facts before asking her anything!\r \r Good luck and I hope you do get any suggestions for testing or blood work because you will be paying a lot of money for tests that are not necessary. more

Takes great care of my pets 8/7/2009

I have taken my cats to Prime Care for over a year. Dr. Martin and her staff are fantastic. They show such compassion for their patients. Last month when my cat Mason swallowed a 12 inch piece of yarn, Dr. Martin called me every day for a week to see how he was doing. She didn't want to do any surgery or tests unless it was absolutely necessary, so she gave me other alternatives to help Mason pass the yarn. Prime Care also gives a 10% discount to teachers, military, police officers and firefighters which is wonderful. I highly recommend Prime Care Animal Hospital! Pros: compassionate, gives 10% discount to teachers, military Cons: location more

Best Vets I Know 2/18/2009

I've been going to Prime Care for the last 10 Years. Both of my dogs have had excellent care and follow up. Staff knows me by name and both of my dogs well. They have always been helpful (even over the phone); have taken preventive steps with regards to the dogs health, and have recommended a surgeon when the problem cannot be resolved otherwise. As to the cost, I find them reasonable and gladly pay their fees. Pros: Everything. It's like having a trusted family doctor for your animals more

Horrible Horrible Place.. 12/27/2008

I took my pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) to this vet based on a rescue organization's suggestion and this was the worst mistake I have made in my life! The vet care is horrible..they only assume to care about money and suggest expensive procedures for your pet. My pets died in their care and after getting a second opinion on my pet's care it turns out that those expensive procedures was NOT needed!\r \r I thought about hiring an attorney but after loosing my beloved pets due to their lack of knowledge and greed I decided to just file a complaint. If you are looking for a very good vet..don't go here!! The place is always empty and the staff changing like a piece of clothes..one of the vet left anyway..go somewhere else..save a pet's life!!! Pros: clean and empty Cons: greedy, lack of knowledge on pet's care more

This is an excellent facility. 11/20/2008

Our family has been a client of Prime Care since it opened 10 years ago. Dr. Martin has taken excellent care of 3 family dogs. The staff has always been kind, dedicated and courteous. I have found their rates to be competitive and fair. I would highly recommend this hospital. more

Over Charged For Everything...Don't Go!! 9/9/2008

I have been taking my 3 pets here for over 4 years and I have been noticing the prices are extremely high and overrated. I have had 2 pets pass away when they become ill and the vets actually make you pay more money for medicine they know will not work and instead of telling the owners to do it peacefully they send you home with meds and huge bill. After both pets passed, I took my one remaining pet here and she is thriving after the informed me she needed tests and a ultra sound and the new vet did tests and found NOTHING!!!\r \r \r If you have the money and want to throw it away then this is the place for you but I would advise you to get a 2nd opinion BEFORE you pay and pay and pay. more

Don't Do It 9/9/2008

I would not go to this vet because they are over priced and always want you to do unnecessary tests when they know you pet is okay. I paid over $1000 for my pet and was still urged to pay more for tests results that they said I needed. When I went to get a 2nd opinion I was charged a much lesser price and my pet was in good health. If you want a vet, don't go here. They need patients so they overcharge the pet owners. Go somewhere else..please!!! Pros: They do seem concern and maybe a little knowledgable about certain isues but... Cons: Charge pet owner way too much more

Our regular vet for the last three years 9/4/2008

We have been very happy with both vets, Dr. Cox and Dr. Martin, as well as their staff. We had two dogs and they have been receiving excellent care. \r \r One is a "senior citizen" and has more frequent visits and every time we are able to get in quickly, he is checked thoroughly each time. Our other dog is an active girl that has hip dysplasia, and we are looking at various treatments and pain management options. Both vets have been helpful in getting us started on this difficult process. more

Will never go back 2/6/2008

I will never take my dog back to this hospital ever again. I figured I would try it because they were new and I wanted to see what they had to offer- but the only thing I got was a HUGE bill, and even after paying the bill, my dog was not getting any better. I think they take advantage of the fact that they know alot of people will pay any price to heal theyre pet. It seemed like they were just trying to push products on me and not really caring about the well being of my animal. more
