I took my SUV to a Kingwood Auto Repair shop off of WLHouston to replace a belt that was squeaking very bad. As it turned out, I received a quote for $1130.00 from the Kingwood repair shop because I had a leaking Power Steering hose, had to replace the belt that was squeaking due to the power steering fluid going on to the belt and flushing the lines. I left there without having my suv repaired and figured I would get another opinion. When I went to pick up the keys, I asked them if they got my quote together of another problem I was having with it, and he flat out told me that because I told them I wasn't having my SUV fixed right now, he didn't put me at a high priority and didn't do the quote. When I got into my car, the volume of my SUV was on full blast so when I turned the car on, it scared me and actually hurt my ears.... Half of me believes they did that because after I rec'd the quote, I told them I would leave it squeaking until after I had our truck repaired (major) which was already at Preston's due to a recommendation from AAA. Since our truck was already there, I called Preston's and asked them to quote me on my SUV. I had already called on the price for the line after the Kingwood shop told me how ""expensive"" the part for my particular car was. Turns out the price on the part wasn't bad at all. Preston's quoted me the same amount that I researched - and fixed it for $424.00! They are as nice as can be there... and even ordered an additional part just in case I needed and ended up returning it because they didn't need it. I am very grateful for them and they are honest and extremely nice! We are heading back there for additional work on another issue I have. They quoted me on that part ...which is what I previously researched as well. So far they have been very honest and very friendly. I highly recommend them.
