Prestigious Auto Body and Painting

WOW!!!! I can't explain in words how amazing Prestigious is. When I went there to get my car fixed Rene, the owner told me some amazing stories about my dad, who he worked with in the 90's. While he was talking to me some workers were looking at my car outside, and they told me what was wrong with it instead of me telling them what was wrong. I asked how long it would take, they told me two weeks, but it was done in one week. All the workers are nice, and helpful. Overall, Prestigious is definitely the place to go. more

Hands down the best auto body shop in the county and beyond. The customer service was the best I have experienced in any Santa Barbara place. (Honestly, customer service around here is weird). Jaime Alvarez was the BIGGEST help, the NICEST guy, and the GREATEST source of information, as I know nothing about cars and did not want to get taken advantage of. Enterprise (rental cars) is just about 50 yards away which made dropping of my car extremely easy. My car looks BETTER than brand new and I couldn't be happier. I almost want to get in another minor accident so I can go back and be as impressed as I am now! more

Bad experience recently with this shop. I was referred by my Ins. Co. My first clue was Juan telling me my vehicle looked well, not good or great but well! Black specks all over tire well trim. Juan's response was, "" we're not perfect."" A new plastic bed liner trim was replaced, which was defective. It took me almost a month later to get a good one. I had to do all of the leg work myself through Toyota. I still have overspray on the bedliner which Peter the GM has not been helpfull with. And now I do not trust their work. They say they will call you back and they don't. This is not a business to go to if your looking for a responsible, detailed, professional autobody shop to work on your vehicle. Do not let the nice office with flat screen tv fool you! The worst!! more

I was very unhappy with my experience here and will most definitely not be going back. Despite their original appearance of having great customer service, this turned out to not be the case at all. I was told that my part would be in the next day, and it ended up taking about a week. They didn't think to tell me that the part wasn't in before I brought my car in on the day I told them I would come. I was originally told that it would take 3 hours to complete the repairs, and my boyfriend waited four hours for it to be done, before they finally told him it would be a few more hours and gave him a ride. I later went to pick up my car, and they had still not had time to wash it. After I got home and closely inspected the new side view mirror they had attached, I noticed they didn't paint a section of it. I ended up having to bring my car back for the third time for such a simple repair. Jaime was the man who helped me, and he was never able to be reached and didn't call me back. TERRIBLE SERVICE! more

Absolutely the worst! I took my car in the beginning of May, and they said it'd be done by the end of the month. Juan assured me he'd call to update me twice a week with my vehicle's status, but after the first call, I had never heard back from him. I called several times, always being told he would call me back, but he did not call with any updates at all. On the last week of May, I was told that my car was still set to be done for the 30th. Later that week, they said it was pushed back, but had no idea how much longer. I told them I needed it before the 10th because I needed to move out of my apartment and move back up to the bay area before my lease kicked me out. He said it would not be a problem, but I did not get it back until the week after my move-out date, and the last week I was constantly calling about my car, always being told someone would call me back. I was not able to start my new job on time. Terrible service, would never go back or recommend. more

I took my car in for a detail and Peter hooked me up! I was unaware at the time, but I had a burnt out tail light which he replaced for me. My car hasn't been that clean since the day I bought it! I will definitely be back. Pros: Above and beyond customer service more

I'm very picky about my car and don't trust it to just anybody. I hand wash it myself every time, so giving it to somebody else to paint made me nervous. I'm very happy to report that Prestigious restored my car to a state that was better than new. I'm writing this review one year after the job, and it has stood the test of time. The entire crew at the shop was friendly and kept me updated on my progress, and the job came in less than estimated. I won't hesitate to take my vehicles back to them should I need their service again, although I hope I won't have to! more

They did some work for me that I considered faulty. They told me that they would not fix it under warranty, and that their estimate for the fix was $800. I got it fixed up the street at Precision for $65. I will never again use Prestigious. Cons: Poor poor poor customer service more
