In the first attempt of my life at buying a car, as opposed to leasing, I came to Prestige and test drove a car twice. Everything seemed to work on the car. I purchased the vehicle and within 2 days, the CD player and clock go completely blank and cannot be turned on. I called J. 2 days after I drove away from Prestige with the car... and no answer. So I leave messages and text messages(which were all promptly answered when I was in the market to purchase said car) with no reply. Finally I get a hold of him through his back office assistant and he says he'll call their technician. 2 weeks later after Texts and Phone calls to see when tech is available...with no response...I give up. One week later, Sunroof stops working and check engine light comes on. Also, when I went to the BMV, 2 weeks after purchase to get my tags, the title had not been transferred. The back office woman was embarrassed and couldn't have been nicer in rectifying the situation. Re: price...I wondered why it was such a ""deal"", but found out soon enough it wasn't exactly what I thought. Really, all that was expected is when a customer patronizes your business, they should be treated with a certain level of courtesy and decency...oh, and get a ""functioning vehicle"" in return for their $. So I guess I'm the sucker. That's how it goes and we'll live, but my hope is that this info helps the next person to not end up being in the same position we are in. A car that doesnt work, but still needs to be paid for.
