I would go to a different dentist - there are tons out there. We called and made appointments for teeth whitening only (wedding approaching) and were very clear that was all we wanted to do. No additional x-rays or anything else. On the drive over we had filled out all of the requested forms and were SHOCKED at some of the things we were asked to release our rights to. This included private, protected personal information that we were being asked to be allowed to be released by the doctor, that they could take pictures of us and post them on their website, and, what we understood as, that we would allow the dentists to change the course of treatment at his discretion, without consulting us before. We also discovered what we felt were expensive additional charges seemingly buried in the middle of the releases regarding 3 charges related to Vizilite Plus (we didn't even have any idea what that was and hadn't been told about it) and an oral cancer exam. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE FEES had we signed and they had been done. So, needless to say, we had crossed off and initialed multiple areas on the documents that we felt we didn't agree to (web pictures, and added fees, releasing our information, etc.) and handed them in upon arrival. We were cash patients (and can afford to pay up front) and also didn't give approval for any release of information to any insurance company. We were seated in the chairs asked to agree to x-rays (even though we were just there for a whitening and had been told we wouldn't need to do them when we originally called) and then after saying, ?no? to the x-rays (at their expense) we were told that they wouldn't see us based on the fact that we didn?t agree to things in their releases. THIS IS A HUGE RED FLAG TO US. After leaving, I searched the web and found multiple bad reviews as well. If you were asking for a recommendation for this dental office - I say go find another, there are tons out there, no reason to support an office that required us to release so much when other offices don't - just to whiten our teeth. Signing to agree to fees for the ViziLite and the cancer exam were pretty scary too because we wouldn't have known had we not read every part of the paperwork. It just felt sneaky and yucky to us?
