Best

I've been going to Presidio Way for the past 10 years now and Dr. Bloom has been the primary Vet for my pets. He has always been thorough and given my pets the best veterinary car...

Worst

First off the front office was very pleasent. The doctor recommended unnecessary, costly testing. The doctor himself was OK, he did his job but nothing stood out. The back rooms ...

The best vet group ever 1/23/2007

I have had my beloved dog for 7 years and we have had many emergencies (and non-emergencies that seemed like emergencies) during that time. As a result, I have been to countless vets getting care for my boy. I have never experienced more warmth, understanding, and skill as during our visits to Presidio Way. We have seen several of the vets (all fantastic), though Dr. Moran is our current vet. His down-to-earth nature puts you and your dog at ease immediately. He is thorough without being redundant, and he is always thinking about what is best for the situation at hand. The offices are clean and bright. The ladies up front are kind and informative. I can't say enough about the whole experience. Some vet clinics feel like factories. Presidio Way feels like going to a friend's home. more

Dr Moran is the best 11/8/2006

We've been taking our pets here for 3 years and Dr Moran has always been amazing. Whether it's for routine care or making some difficult decisions regarding our dog's plight with bone cancer, he has always been there for us. Now that we have a crazy puppy who has really been testing Dr Moran's patience (chewed off his cast 5 or 6 times) we wouldn't think of going anywhers else! Pros: great all around staff, easy to get appt, open on saturday Cons: sometimes can be a little expensive more

The best veterinary experience 9/26/2006

Presidio Way came highly reccomended by the specialists at SFVS. I called and got in the next day to see Dr. Moran . He was the kindest, most thorough vet I have ever had, explaining everything and taking time to answer my questions. I didn't feel ""nickel and dimed"" at all, in fact, he outlined his approach and made it work for my budget. My cat has kidney disease and I know it will be expensive but I am not made of money. The staff was sympathetic and I did not feel judged, like I have at other places. I feel like Milo is getting great personalized care by professionals that actually care about more than money. Dr. Moran gives us the best veterinary experience every time.\r The one major drawback is parking - I found out you can park behind Laurel Village shopping center next door, for 90 minutes free. That helps a lot. Pros: Knowledge, cutting edge, sympathetic to financial concerns Cons: parking can be tough - use Laurel Village more

If you care about your pet... 12/16/2005

You would want the very best care you can find. I cannot speak highly enough of P.W. and the veterinary care that my cat received. They literally saved him. I brought him in after 6 months of treatment at Pets Unlimited, who very nearly killed him and received intelligent, thorough information and advice from Dr. Phillips. He took time to discuss possible problems and the different ways to approach them. He also worked with me on payment. He even gave me his cell phone so that I could follow up with him regarding the results of a test. Cost was only slightly more than P.U., but the quality of care was at least 200% over what I was getting at P.U. My cat is now thriving thanks to these people. Pros: knowledgeable, thorough/follow thru, parking more

Good vets but impersonal and expensive 11/6/2005

I don't know if it is the affluent area that they are in, but they seem to assume that everyone who walks in is 1) Made of money 2) totally devoted to their pets and therefore willing to do anything it takes. I sort of felt they were milking me for whatever they could charge me, sort of the way an auto mechanic will look for trouble spots in your car and then recommend expensive repairs. Don't get me wrong, I think they are good vets and do provide good services assuming you can afford every last thing they suggest. I just wish they'd get to know the individuals and the animals a little more first. Also, beware that you will be charged for every little thing there. You'll be nickeled and dimed until you've spent $250 just for an annual checkup for your pet! Pros: Professional Cons: Expensive, Manipulative, Greedy more

Padding the bill with unnecessary testing? 8/28/2005

While the service is certainly friendly, every time I bring my dog in for the most minor problems, they recommend numerous tests and procedures that bring the final bill to between $200-600 each time. I've switched to a less convenient vet seems less aggressive with testing. more

Vet Clinic 8/14/2005

Presidio Way Veterinary Hospital is great! The doctors are thorough and really seem to care about the health of your pet. They can push a little bit for testing and excessive care, but I think that is in the interest of good medicine. They also have great recommendations for holistic animal care providers in the city and have an emergency twenty-four hour help line. I have called them more than once when my dog has gotten into bad things. I would recommend it, but be ready to drop some cash. more
