Presidential Pools, Spas & Patio

Had a pool, deck and BBQ built by Presidential in 2010. The pool end of the transaction went great. However their Presidential Outdoor Environment division is HORRIBLE. Contract out on your own elsewhere. Continuously having problems with the travertine deck they installed around the BBQ they built. The tiles are sinking! I have had them out twice. Also, be careful when they clean up. We found all the construction debris hidden under mounds of dirt we had dumped for landscaping. Lastly, they don't compact the soil well. It too is sinking near the pool equipment. Lots of other pool builders out there. Use one of them! more

DO NOT BUY FROM PRESIDENTIAL. My pool was completed less than five years ago, and recently all my electrical system went out to the pool. My wife called Presidential and they did not return her calls. Finally, I called and insisted on talking to someone. The told me my electrical system was covered for only two years. After review of my warranty that Presidential gave me, it stated five years for underground electric which is where the problem is currently. I advised them of this fact, and after giving me the run around, the agreed to send and electrician out to put in new wire. My pool worked for approximately 8 hours and then started to blow the breaker again. I called them back and the electrician that they use stated it was common for the underground electrical system to go out in five years. I told him if this is true, they need to disclose this to any individual thinking about purchasing a pool. Furthermore, Presidential now refused to fix the system and states that I must have a dent in the conduit when I did yard work. I advised him that there are not any trees or for that matter plants or grass even close to the area that the system is running underground, All backyard structures were in place prior to the pool being built except what Presidential pools put in such as decking etc. They are still refusing to fix the electrical system and state it must be a dent in the rigid conduit, even though a dent has never been visualized. I talked to a few professional pool guys, and they all told me that it is rare for a system to fail that soon, and that it is probably a result of the decking that they put in settling into the ground with the recent storms that probably caused my issue. At this point, my pool has been sitting without a pump and I am trying to find a qualified electrician fix it because Presidential refuses to honor their warranty. I highly advise anyone who is thinking of having landscaping or a pool placed by Presidential to go elsewhere, as the are not a very consumer friendly company and state, and I have this recorded, ""it is common for the electrical system to fail in five years."" more

I cannot say anything negative about Presidential Pools, honestly, because they were there for everything. Seriously, I'm a very detailed person, and I would give them a 6 if I could. They have excellent customer service. If I have any questions, they're just a phone call away. I looked at several pool companies, and I was a little nervous about going with Presidential Pools at first, but it was the best decision my husband and I could have made. I had my pool built in Feb 2007. It was one of the few experiences that I had during the customization of my home that went very well, everything was done as promised and when expected. Since then, I have needed very little service. Recently, I discovered a leak in my pool. From testing, to discovering the leak all the way thru repair was great. I was communicated with, and everyone that came out during the process was very professional. Bill and Nick were the last two, and had to actually do the repair. They got all aspects of my pool back to like new, even went the extra step in getting my salt level back up. I would recommend them to anyone. more

I was lucky enough to have Mike Tierney as my sales man, out of four other pool companys i was looking at to build a pool for me.Even though i only spent the pelimenary time with him ,i wouldn't of picked Presidential as my pool builder if it wouldn't have been for him. Every one from Gene my job superitendent to the laboers were great at their jobs. I did have one problem with the pool interior ( pebble tec ).Which leads me to the meeting with Bill Watson..I must say when Gene told me my problem with the pool interior was now a warrinty issue ,,I remember say oh here we go with the run around..Nothing could of been farther from the truth. Bill set up a metting with Luis Grageda (with Cal Plaster ,who did the pebble tec). Luis asked if i would let his company try and patch the area that was a concern for me..I did and they tried twice.It still wasn't to my satisfaction and they re-did the whole interior.With the only cost to me was the filling of the pool two additional times.It turned out beutiful..To me the finish is like the paint job on a brand new car! If it don't look good it's just a piece of s...!Anyway Bill with Presidential was a great help and he was on top of everything. I also had a chance to call Bill when i was having a problem with my pump and he sent out Elliot,(this young man knows he's stuff)He fixed with just a small amout of effort.Thanks again Bill. more

Everyone who worked on the pool worked hard, performed with quality, and paid attention to detail. Karin (salesperson and pool designer) was fantastic. She worked with me for over a year until I finally decided on a design. more

We had several quotes on our pool, couldn't seem to find anyone who would listen to what we wanted or would come back with a quote $15,000+ over what we said we wanted to spend. One day my husband decided to walk into Presidential Pools, not expecting to find anything different than what we had experienced already. Brad impressed him from the beginning, listened to what he was saying and came out to the house to work on some drawings. My husband has had "our pool" drawn out for quite some time. Brad looked at the drawing and said, no problem, we can do this. We gave him our budget and a few days later he was back with the quotes for the pool we were looking for at the price we wanted. There was no pressure, we didn't feel like he was just trying to get the sale and move on. We definitely appreciated his honesty and sincerity. He has been out to see the pool and the progress several times and has gone out of his way to make sure things were working out the way we expected. I did have a few concerns with communication in the beginning but once we let the project manager know we wanted to be in the loop about what was going on we had no problem at all. Tracy has been wonderful to deal with. Talk about dedication, we had some last minute issues come up with our inspection that needed to be taken care of before the inspector got back. Tracy hadn't been feeling well that morning when she was out but drove right back over and corrected the problem before driving herself to the doctor and being admitted to the hospital. Missi, the construction coordinator has been wonderful as well. She is quick to respond to my million and one questions and has been nothing but pleasant to work with. When she says something is going to happen, it does. She went above and beyond as well so that we could stay on schedule when our inspectors were being difficult. We were impressed with each and every person who came to our home, the contractors were professional and did a fabulous job! We are looking forward to many years of enjoying our pool and can't thank all of you at Presidential enough! more

Shame on you presidential pools for your poor customer service and flat out lies to me as a customer. You have promised to have my pool done for four weeks in a row and I still have no plaster. I can't even get anyone to call me back and tell me when or why I have no plaster. SHAME ON YOU. I have placed a sign of protest over your company sign that you so proudly displayed in my yard telling all my neighbors not to use you. I will be calling the better business bureau and newspaper to see if i can get a local story to cover you shameful tactics. I wonder if the owner and president of the company knows the way the employees recklessly abuse their employement for their own amusement. This is no way to run a business. more

Happy with my Presidential pool. Had a competing quote and Presidential had the best value. Only issue was the lack of a thourough final design review. A co-worker who is looking at building a Presidential pool as a result of my recomendation, showed me his plans that several color 3d views. I was not offered this during our build. more

Presidential Pools and Spas was recommended to us by the people who did our landscaping. Our pool was completed last September and the final product is very nice. It looks beautiful and we enjoy it. We had some issues with the follow-up on the maintenance of our pool equipment, but otherwise, we are satisfied with the quality of the work. more

We were impressed with the overall project. Issues- subs left trash all over -we had to pay and have this cleaned up $600. But we love the pool more

I have used presidential for more then one pool and will definately use them again in the future if i have the need. I have worked with James Frabasilio each time and he always gets back to me promptly and has been very helpful. When i built my first pool with Presidential, they were fairly new. The owner came out to my house personally when i had some concerns and made sure that everything was ok. I would highly recommend, and DO recommend this company. more

Bill put together a pool package that met my budget and is beautiful! The workers are very professional and left my yard almost as good as they found it. Cleaning up the rocks in the yard, as they left a bald spot, and bring a cap for one of the pole holes in the deck would have made it perfect. more
