It is the vision of Premier Medical Academy, A Division of Dorsey School of Business to facilitate this need, through the hands on training and one on one guidance provided by the experienced faculty and staff. Furthermore, through commitment to standards of professionalism and ethics Premier Medical Academy, A Division of Dorsey School of Business will develop new curriculum on a continual basis for specialized training of such students. We will strive for excellence in these programs and evaluate the market needs of employers to allow our students to have the credentials to be competitive. Certified Nurse Aide Program
    This program is a condensed 2-week session days,4 weeks nights consisting of lecture,lab and clinical leading to a CAN certification the state of Michigan.


    Patient Care Specialist
    This program consists of a comprehensive 6-week program 12 weeks nights,that continues after the student has completed the CNA course. Upon completing the course work the student is eligible to take the National Health Career Associations exams for Certified Phlebotomy Technician,Certified EKG Technician,and Certified Patient Care Technician. The student will also receive a CAN certification in the state of Michigan upon completing their testing with Thompson Pro-Metric for CENA.


    Certified Phlebotomy Technician
    This program consists of lecture and lab skills onsite. Students will learn techniques in various types of venipuncture/dermal puncture. Upon completion of the program the student is eligible to take the NHA Phlebotomy Technician Certification.


    Certified EKG Technician
    This program consists of lecture and lab skills. Students will learn applied EKG techniques,procedure and interpretation. Upon completion students are eligible to take the National Health Career Associations EKG/ECG Technician Certification.


    Certified Patient Care Technician
    This program consists of a comprehensive 4 or 8-week program that begins after the student has received a CNA certification or if they are already a CNA. Upon completing the course work the student is eligible to take the National Health Career Associations exams for: Certified Phlebotomy Technician,Certified EKG Technician,and Certified Patient Care Technician.
