A dying dinosaur.\r
This gym is old, outdated, boring, lousy weights and equipment. Premier used to have lots of members a few years ago. No, it's not the economy, but the lack of creativity and changes needed in order to stay competitive.\r
It's missing the spark and it's lifeless. At peak times (5 to 8 pm) the place is nowhere near the capacity of other gyms in the area. Boring and careless staff. Most of aerobic and spinning instructors leave a lot to desire, because a true, good instructor will run away after finding out how little they pay to teach a class. Men's locker room and bathroom/s are not properly clean and serviced, with trash cans overflowed with paper towels at busy times. Suggestions for improvements are ignored, and in many instances the owner (Anthony) has told those members to leave and find another gym. Countless staff people have come and gone, some of them very sharp, and with good ideas, but they all ran into a wall. \r
So, how to get this place up and flourishing again? A new owner Yes, it's time for this guy to go and bring someone who wants to put some real money and remodel the place. It's badly needed. Start by dumping all those horrible star track machines, 20 year old free weights, and neglected spinning bikes. Tear down unused space, including the training room on the second floor and the empty juice bar, and make the gym bigger. The place is a labyrinth of walls everywhere. Bring in some good talent: Management, staff and true instructors. Give them the tools and freedom to do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer, reward them well for their efforts, and they will be the best, most loyal employees. Only then, customers will start to come again.
