I don't technically work out at Premier, though I have done a 12 week contest there, I work out at a fitness bootcamp they run in the Northwest Suburbs.
I've struggled with fitness all my life, I've never really liked exercise and my nutrition was sub par at best. 5 years ago I was at 245 and I hated it. I would go to the gym, throw some weights around and do some steady running on the treadmill and do that a few times a day. Some days I'd be at the gym for 3-4 hours, other times twenty minutes. I would get so overwhelmed by all the information out there, Mens Health, and then you see another article on the internet saying something different.
You feel like you don't know what your supposed to do.
I didn't
Back in May I saw Premier's Bootcamp Groupon. GREAT rate, it was local and it was a group setting, something I need since going on my own I tend to slack off.
I came in at 210 and as of December 5th, I'm at 175lbs. I've gone from 33% body fat to 25%. I've gone from size 38 to size 33. I've thrown out bags of clothes. I feel better, I sleep better. My confidence has gone up, People see me and are amazed how different I look. I'm stronger, I'm faster, I have more endurance. A couple years ago I'd be at home at 3 AM watching movies with drive thru, and now this morning I was in a harness pulling someone on a sled around a parking lot by running in the snow.
Every time I've ""committed"" to fitness I've always said screw it fairly quickly and dropped out. I've missed just one class since May 23rd because I was ill. The trainers at Premier and knowledgeable and component and they want to see you succeed and change your life.
They take all that confusion you have with all that information out there and tell you what's what. They work with you on nutrition. They'll talk to you if you have questions. I thought I was in decent shape coming into camp because I could lift weight. 40 minutes later I was face down on the floor in a pool of sweat. Jamie and Karina and Craig will give you the tools you need to succeed.
If you can't lose the weight, it's not on them, it's on you.
Now to Dalemar,Rocsolid and Fitmantobeat.
This is directed to you three mullets
I think Craig is an excellent trainer, his personality and enthusiasm are just what is needed to keep you going after you've 50 box jumps and pad pushes and all you want to do is sit down and possibly cry. I've had experience with a trainer who is quiet and sedate, and I'd MUCH rather have someone like Craig encouraging me to keep going.
You say he's egotistical, and vain and is self centered. If I looked like him, I'd also look in the mirror when I had to speak to someone, if I had his life, I'd be cocky too. Do not hate on him for the way he lives HIS life. He is there to give you the tools to succeed, not to ensure he does not annoy you.
So he talks about his ""dream house"" So listen to the music..stare at the wall, retreat inwardly to the dark barren wasteland where your brain should of been, your there to do the work. But since your clearly unable and unwilling to do the work, I'll tell you what you three can do.
You can get on your hoveround, and cruise the snack cake aisle at the store and waddle back here and criticize Craig and us for putting faith in him and his business.
With your attitude, the only way you'll ever get thin is if you hit the meth..so go start tweeking and take your hate elsewhere.
He's changed my life, I know he's changed others. So screw you
