This is a quality business. I brought in a gold rope necklace and a gold bangle braclet that I had never worn. I also brought in a small pile of broken and outdated sterling silver jewelry. I got a better price than Triple A Gold Exchange! \r \r Richard is very professional and friendly. I came in without an appointment and he wasn't in the office. The receptionist in the office suite called him. Richard returned to the office within 10 minutes. I would recommend making an appointment. \r \r This was a great experience and I will definetly use Richard again!\r more

Hello!!!!!! Happy Holidays Everyone :-) I thought I'd share this Yogi's story briefly about my experience selling some of my beautiful jewelry pieces. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous was one of my favorite tv shows to watch back in the 80s (Thats right the 1980s!!! believe me feels like just yesterday lol :-) Anyway, it was about a show that featured extravagant lifestyles of the wealthy hosted by a man named Robin Leach. Robin had such a phenomenal tone to his voice that for me, made the stories of the wealthy even more intriguing and fun to watch and learn about. I absolutley adored this show ;) Well, ok back to my story. I was driving around running errands and on came Robin Leach in a radio advertisement endorsing a firm named GoldMax that buys jewelry and pays ""THE MAX"" for your gold. So I made a mental note and decided to take my jewelry collection and sterling silverware collection to GoldMax for possible sale. The person offered me a price to buy my belongings after inspection. The offer was LOW! I coudlnt believe my ears!!! I think the woman who was helping me could see I wasnt thrilled about her offer and after some small dialogue picked up the phone and said she was going to make a call to her corporate office to see if they can raise the offer for me. I was like thinking to myself ok, lets see what happens. Well, to make a brief story a little longer ;) the GoldMax woman changed the offer (4X) times which made me suspicious of this firms business practices. I mean if they were honest people like Robin Leach stated in the radio ad, then why did I feel like I was being run through the mill. Anyway, something just didnt feel right about this place, something didnt feel honest and forthright. I decided to write down their last offer and gathered up by belongings, said I needed to think about it and left. The woman needless to say wasn't thrilled about me leaving and her pleasant tone soon turned to a negative one. I then decided to drive to a place named ""Precious Metals Refinery Company"" located in Newport Beach, CA. I found their advertisement running in the Los Angeles Times Newspaper. I had previously phoned in to see if I could get a vibe about what this company was about? And after speaking with a gentlemen, I felt they just seemed honest and credible so I made an appointment. After our appointment, they offered me a better price the FIRST TIME AROUND!!! then GoldMax did ON THEIR 4th & FINAL OFFER!!! No dishonesty or this bonus or that bonus just a better total offer. I was so happy I found this company with amazing karma and intentions. I parted ways with my collection of jewelry and sterling and took their cash offer. I promised Richard the gentlemen who helped me that I would write a review to let others know how wonderful he is :D!xoxo. Robin Leach you should be ashamed of yourself!!! AGAMI KARMA! Which means Karma yet to come."" It is the result of acts performed during this present life which will mature in the normal course of events. FYI, If you have sterling: Took my grandmothers gorham 56 piece set into these sterling experts out of the LA Times. To make a long story short, I stopped by the los angeles antique road show first and marriott hotel to visit with an out of town jewelry firm. Both of these places came up way short compared to what this refinery offered for my pieces. Much obliged. more

I called Precious Metals and the nice secretary scheduled me for an appointment right away. I was vary nervous at first because I was caring all my precious valuables. The man that I met with explained everything about the transaction and payed me higher than the other 6 places I had been to before. The transaction was very smooth, easy, fast and comfortable. I could not have had a better experience. Call and schedule an appointment to be paid the most for your valuables! more

My husband and I were referred to this company by our minister. They were very informative, nice people. To be frank, we felt more like they were our good friends giving us their professional advice. And they proved to be fair and honest overall and that was important to us! We sold them most of my gold jewlery with the exception of some stones which they removed for us and gave back. decided to sell my sterling silverware stored away since none of my children wanted it. took with me items of 14K, my wifes watch and some coins. I took them to two different places for estimates. these guys were the third opinion and their offer was substantially higher than these other yahoos. I found them to be trustworthy folk. They even told me not to sell one of my coins as it had more value than its gold content they explained and they advised me to hold on to that one. more

I called a couple of places before phoning Richard and after speaking with him, I felt comfortable to make an appointment. I brought in a good amount of gold jewelry and some silver. There were items that turned out to be junk! Oh well, overall I was very pleased with the outcome and the company and Richards professionalism. The meeting went comfortable and was discreet. I will definitley recommend their services to my family and also my friends. more

Precious Metal Refinery Co. Located in Newport Beach is crooked as heck in my opinion! On Sunday 7th of August I called and set up an appointment to sell silver hollowware, Spoke to Richard twice making sure that he understood I had 12 ounces of .925 Sterling silver to sell. I set up the appointment and headed to Newport Beach with the hope that I had found a reputable business to establish a relationship with as opposed to shipping the silver to a Texas refiner. I was quoted $29.79 per Troy ounce which is the standard weight for traders. I arrived and was nicely greeted by an old man wearing an oversized black cap which hid his face (Richard); he led me to a small office where he seated me away from the scale even though I wanted to sit next to the scale. He opened our bag and stated that ?nobody uses these anymore? and proceeded to weigh the silver. Good thing I had weight it ahead of time as he said it was almost 1 oz less than actual weight accounting for the difference in Troy oz vs. Regular ounces. When the error was pointed out he switched to grams and offered $22.00 per ounce as opposed to $29.79 he quoted on the phone, claiming he thought it was PURE SILVER (.999) which is extremely rare for hollowware and is for bullion for the most part. I pointed out the fact that he had switched his offer and was low balling while high balling to get me in. I walked out and no deal was made. I wonder how many people he confuses and takes advantage of! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! more
