Practically Pikasso - Waco

I have enjoyed going to Practically Pikasso in Waco for years. \r The staff is so helpful and friendly. We were there when a party was happening. The kids (ages 6-8) were totally involved and having a wonderful time! What a wonderful addition to Waco's art community. more

I have grown up visiting Practically Pikasso virtually every time I am in Waco to see my grandparents. I absolutely love the experience and the variety of options they have to offer. I have probably created over 20 ceramic pieces there as gifts for various people and I've never had a complaint. The staff members are always willing to give me an honest opinion if I am struggling with paint choice, and they are always complimentary when I finish my piece. I wish I lived closer so I could go there more often! Thank you, Practically Pikasso for being such a wonderful part of my child- and teenage-hood! I can't wait till I get to come back for my next visit. more

I've been going to Practically Pikasso for many years. It is a pleasant place with friendly folk who taught me how to create my own pottery. They always have nice music and people seem to just have a great time there. It's a nice place for a date! more

We had a TERRIBLE experience at Practically Pikasso for my daughter's birthday party. I called about a month in advance and reserved the party room for my daughter's party--got there about ten minutes ahead of time and it was FILLED with artwork. They had reserved several tables for us out front (with tall stools). I had kiddos three--five years old and was expecting to be able to seat everybody at the picnic tables. (It says on their website that "When you book a party at Pikasso, you're event will be in the PartyRoom along with balloons on the table"). I had to help the staff clear out and clean the party room at the last minute. They had no balloons ready, nothing. They did not greet my daughter or say happy birthday--made no big deal out of the fact that we were there for her birthday. Additionally, the air condition was not working and it was almost 100 degrees in the building. Finally, they had a camp going on and two people staffed, so we had very little one-on-one help. When we needed paint, a guest of ours had to retrieve it. They did say they were sorry a couple of times, but did not offer to reduce our bill or compensate us in any way. I called to talk to the manager the following day to explain how dissatisfied I was; she was argumentative, but did apologize. She explained that they had a camp that day and had 23 campers that had scheduled camp several months ago--well, it wasn't like my daughter's party hadn't been on the calendar for a month. They should have been more prepared with enough staff and a ready, welcoming birthday room!!! She said that she would do something ""nice"" for us next time we came in. I told we would not be coming in at all anymore! They did not offer to deduct any cost from our bill for the poor service or having to sit in the sweltering building for almost two hours, nor would they do it when I called the next day and asked outright after explaining how disappointed I was with the party. Truly, it was almost embarrassing! I had family and friends there that I had to keep apologizing to. :( Not a good experience and I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone!! more
