Nothing negative about Olive Glenn which I also like but for the price and for the variety this is the better course. Powell is one of my favorite municipal courses to play in Wyoming. The greens have lots of movement and the length is challenging. The back 9 holes are a parkland course with fairly tight fairways and new redesigned greens. # 18 requires a lengthy drive to clear the wasteland. The front 9 is the newer portion of the course and winds its way over varied terrain, The signature hole is a lovely par 3 with a distance that varies between 190 yards to 130 yards and a drop of about 140 yards to a green protected by a pond. A lovely hole. The course is well maintained, the staff are great to deal with. My complaint is that the City of Powell does not support the course well enough, but the staff and the board do an incredible job with what they have. An amazing golf course for the small town of Powell. If you can only play Powell or Cody when you are outside of Yellowstone, I think Powell may be your best golf for the money.
