I moved to the Portland area about 2 years ago and my boyfriend and I just recently bought our first puppy. The breeder did not deworm the puppy and he started showing signs that he had roundworm. We were so nervous and worried - especially since this is our first dog ever between the both of us. I called the vet last night and left a voicemail and they called me first thing this morning and fit me right in! Dr. Lathrop took the time to explain everything to me and our dog absolutely loved him and his staff! They have affordable prices and you can tell they really care about your pet. If you're looking for a vet, I recommend them - hands down! more

I have been bringing my pets to Powell Blvd. Vet Clinic for eight years and am always impressed with the care my pets receive. I've decided to share my find with you instead of keeping it a secret. I own a business in Portland and can be difficult because I demand excellent service. I receive this every single time I walk through their door. My doctor of choice is Greg Lathrop - he is the best of the best! I trust him completely with the lives of my dogs and cats and know that they are in good hands at all times. Pros: Doctors, staff, sparkling clinic Cons: I moved and must drive 50 minutes to get there. more

Yesterday I though my 13 year old dog was crippled by a stroke and 24 hours later she is walking and wagging her tail. Dr. Lathrop took time to explain what was happening to her and things I should do to help her now and in the future. Nothing over the top, all easy things I can easily add to her diet and tips for her immediate at home care. As I said it has been 24 hours, she is happy and walking - not walking great but she is alert and mobile. I just can't be happier. Thank you Dr Lathrop and PBVC for all of your help. Love, love, love the Dr's and technicians at PBVC! My dog and cat have been seeing Dr. Lathop and various other Dr's there for over 10 years. The have impressed me with their concern, care and skill level and believe me with my dog it is not always easy. My dog has had every crazy ailment possible and they always make her better ! I will always be thankful for that. more

Katy Felton was so nice and did extra research to help my kitty with a skin condition. They also offered different therapies and options for my animal. Staff made follow up phone calls to check up on her and most of all they really listened to my and my animals needs. I have been to 3 different vets that were very unsatisfactory. I fell I have finally found a place where I am comfortable bring my animals. THANK YOU!! I also recently had a friend go there with a cat and she raved how they were so wonderful with her. Her Kitty had a sever condition that was terminal however she is also greatful and sang the praises of Dr. Felton as well!
