After reading some reviews here i have to post my experience with powderhorn. I admit not the most approachable staff, but top notch nonetheless. I explained to the older gentleman there i had just gotten my ltc. He offered some advice showed me to some pistols was patient as hell with me and let me see and pick up nearly 20 guns in the case. Then i looked over the rifles for about an hr. He gave me my space and I eventually went for my choice after careful consideration I am honestly a not so easy shopper I have probably been in there for an hr an half already with an occasional question on how easy this on is to strip or which caliber is cheaper to buy. Eventually I did buy an inexpensive rifle and a bit of ammo. The shop keeper was pleasant gave me a deal on some extra ammo cause practice and range time is key for any especially a new shooter. Best prices to be found especially on Cape. Staff helpful and honest. Like at many gun stores not a huge fan of window shoppers but hey if all retail had this little competition other stores in other industries would make u feel that way more often too
