Powderhorn Outfitters

After reading some reviews here i have to post my experience with powderhorn. I admit not the most approachable staff, but top notch nonetheless. I explained to the older gentleman there i had just gotten my ltc. He offered some advice showed me to some pistols was patient as hell with me and let me see and pick up nearly 20 guns in the case. Then i looked over the rifles for about an hr. He gave me my space and I eventually went for my choice after careful consideration I am honestly a not so easy shopper I have probably been in there for an hr an half already with an occasional question on how easy this on is to strip or which caliber is cheaper to buy. Eventually I did buy an inexpensive rifle and a bit of ammo. The shop keeper was pleasant gave me a deal on some extra ammo cause practice and range time is key for any especially a new shooter. Best prices to be found especially on Cape. Staff helpful and honest. Like at many gun stores not a huge fan of window shoppers but hey if all retail had this little competition other stores in other industries would make u feel that way more often too more

The owner is a complete jerk. Had cash on me to buy a pistol. Narrowed it down to 2 prior to going in but still had a couple questions. He couldn't be bothered and started yelling. I was the only customer in the store. Went to ODS Guns in Yarmouth instead, which is where I'll go from now on. more

Owner is a real jerk I can't imagine opening your doors to public then treating people this way I believe they call it a trap lure u in to treat u like crap and if ur dum enough to give theese people ur money shame on u fell for it. more

The Powderhorn is an awesome hunting store. They have just about anything you could imagine for hunting. The staff is super friendly. I have brought my bow in when it was broken and they fixed it for me. They have reasonable prices and the staff knows everything about their products and hunting. more
