Good food, relaxed atmosphere 2/22/2014

If you are looking for upscale, Potato Shack is not for you. It has healthy portions at a very affordable price. I especially enjoy their western omelette. Their pancakes were featured on that show Dives & Diners as they are nearly the size of man-hole covers. I really enjoy it. Maybe you will too. more

Great Pancakes 3/27/2006

I am pretty picky about pancakes because I like them hot and crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Most breakfast places serve pancakes that are slightly soggy. When I first heard of this place, i was skeptical. Their famous item is pancakes that are the size of a manhole. While I found that the pancakes were not that big, they were pretty big compared to ordinary pancakes. And amazingly, depiste the large surface area, they were crispy on the outside and fluffy and sweet on the inside. There are a variety of flavors. I tried the chocolate chip and enjoyed it. This place also has a vairety of different kind of fries, which i think is why it got the name it got. Someone at a neighboring table ordered ranch fries that looked very yummy and I will order them next time I go. This place is decently priced. A meal is probably about $10 after tax and tip. It is kinda small; my group sat outside. Definitely a nice place to try for breakfast. more

Fun place for breakfast. The portions are generous and the food is pretty good. Try to get a seat outside on a nice day. more

This place had the biggest pancakes I have ever seen. I heard about the pancakes but until you see it with your own eyes, you can't believe how big. I went on a crowded Sunday morning, but the wait was not very long and the service and the speed of food delivery was excellent. A great place to go with kids. more

Potato Shack Cafe 8/19/2005

I went to the Potato Shack Cafe for breakfeast since I had heard a lot about it from others. I ordered two of their absolutly huge pancakes, nothing else came with it, but darn, those sure were enough. The pancakes didnt have much of a texture to them, they were pretty bland, and almost tasted like cardboard. I wouldnt recomend their pancakes, but I would recomend trying something else! more
