Post Avenue Bootery & Repairs

Marsh's (aka Mitchell's in Connecticut) in Huntington has been bringing all of their clients' shoes and boots to this repair shop for years. I was referred by Marsh's in 2006, and it is worth the long, inconvenient drive for me. It has always been a pleasure to go to this clean, well organized business. All of the staff are polite and professional. The owner takes his time examining each pair of shoes and discussing the options. It is exciting to visualize my much loved Manolo Blahniks, Coach and Delman's repaired and revitalized. He has come up with successful solutions to problems which made other shoemakers just shrug their shoulders. As these old world craftsmen retire from various professions that many take for granted, they are not being replaced. We would all do well to respect them. Prices are very fair, and the quality of craftsmanship is excellent. I feel fortunate to have this business available to me. Thank you Post Avenue Bootery. more

I've been going to the Bootery for a long time and have never had a negative experience. They have taken well care of my Louboutins and Jimmy Choos. They have a red sole that matched the original sole color perfectly. They are very detailed oriented and I always find myself in a store listening to other shoe addicts talking about this place, in Westbury, as the only place to bring your shoes. The bootery is the only place to bring your shoes for repairs, and as far as tina0180 she is obviously an impossible person to please. Just check out her other reviews, only negative. Go into any store at the Americana and ask who they recommend and also who the employees use, and they will tell you only Post Avenue Bootery. more

I'm disappointed with my experience. I specifically went here bc of the great reviews, however I found the staff to be on the rude side. I asked about prices and when I told them what I once paid, they snickered at me. I asked for advice on how to repair shoes, the staff at the counter stood there and looked at me as if I had 5 heads. I was asking the owner about a certain repair and he walked away while I was in mid-sentence. I found the experience to be disappointing and I won't be going back. I'm not basing this on one experience, I went there twice- bc I really want to find a good shoe repair spot, they repaired a few boots of mine, but they certainly did not look new, the work is good, but for the costs of the repairs, I'd expect my shoes to be returned to me looking new, and at the least, cleaned after they did work. I'm disappointed- overall pricey & the staff was not helpful or courteous. more

A favorite pocketbook repaired better than new. Shoes repairs make ""old"" shoes more comfortable then when they were new. Efficient and very friendly customer service make Post Avenue Bootery & Repairs a rare find. Pros: Extremely Knowledgeable more

Had patches sewn on leather jacket and it could NOT have come out nicer and done the right way(lining removed)! Quality was perfect and the owner was Very nice! HIGHLY recommend this store! Pros: Fast QUALITY workmanship! Cons: NONE! more
