A lunchtime favorite 3/25/2006

Although they seem to be best known for their coffee and lattes (and I agree, they are wonderful), I also enjoy stopping in at the Portofino Cafe for lunch. Every time I've been in for lunch, there have only been a few other people there. They have wonderful sandwiches, which are reasonably priced. It is a good place to get away from work and read a book for a bit! more

Decent coffee & treats 8/15/2005

I have visited Portofino Cafe several times. The coffee is always very good. Personally I am a big fan of their lattes. Their chocolate caramel pyramids are excellent when they are fresh. I have been to Portofino Cafe and ordered the pyramid on other occasions and it was not nearly as good later in the evening. It had a funny taste to it. I guess it is to be expected after sitting in a display case all day. The service has always been excellent and the location in downtown cannot be beat. more
