Portobello

Went there with a group we sat upstairs in dirty stained chairs. I would have put the chairs in the garbage. Don’t want to go back there again 1 more

we went to Portobello tonight as 2 families, 4 adults and 4 children. All was well and the food was good until the DJ started the music. It was so loud one of the children started crying and some of the others covered their ears. We requested that they turn it down but were told they could not. One of the adults had to abandon her dinner and take the children home. The remaining three of us Finished our dinner while asking each other "What did you say?" We got out of there as soon as we could get the check. Won't go back there at night. more

Anyone here who has written a bad review about Portobellos is obviously a liar. They demonstrate that they have never even been there. Prices are great, food is fabulous and the service is friendly. Go there if you want good meals at reasonable prices. more

Good: Nothing at this point!!!. Bad: The service, the 82 degree temperature on a 90 degree day. Slow and rude service.Overcooked meals,given to the wrong patron.. Improvements: Change of management, and all of the above remedied. They were discourteous when we complained. Need larger a/c unit. Better wait staff.Better attitude.. Other: My husband's 70th b'day party was ruined. Don't go here if you want to relax and have a good time. It will not happen.Is it possible to give -0- stars?. more

the place was gorgeous inside and out, the food was definitely great and affordable, although a couple of the waiters seemed a bit lost more

Seriously overpriced. Slow, sloppy, service. One server in particular was extremely rude, arrogant and obnoxious. We had a table of 15 people and the bill was well over $1,000 and overall experience was horrible. Ate there several times now and always had negative issues, but this time was the worst. Service was so slow and the servers were arrogant (especially this one long, dark haired girl and the manager) Will NEVER eat there again. You Have Been Warned! more

Good: Place is beautiful, but noisy.. Bad: Service was awful. Food was okay, but served cold. "local patrons" seemed to mob the place with flip flops, shorts, tattoos and rock concert t-shirt. Completely ruins this beautiful place. I felt so out of place in a sports jacket and felt more like I was at Chilis.. Improvements: I don't care. I have been there three times and each time it was the same. I will never return.. Other: Much better restaurants that even offer Valet Parking.. more

I went to Portobellos with a bit of fear after reading the poor reviews. The only thing I can figure is that the people who wrote them work for the competition in the area. The service was what I would expect from an up-scale eatery,timley & attentive. The food was EXCELLENT. My wife had king crad leggs scampi, TO DIE FOR. The best she ever had. I had flet of flounder oregano,absolutly delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone & I will return with friends. I will say to the people who had a bad experience there to give Portobello's another chance, I felt the place was really GREAT, and not very pricey considering the excellent food and service. more

Food is great, prices are great, portions are large. On a busy weeknight, your salad is served, and before you've so much as started your salad, your appetizer is served, then your entree is teetering on the edge of your tiny table. They don't pace very well. They want you in and out and the next person seated asap. I'd never recommend going on a Saturday night, it gets extremely loud and the wait is extremely long. We've run into several difficulties, such as falling through a delapidated chair, or a drunken patron that was asked to please be a little quieter. Management seems inept and unwilling to handle these situations. It's a crap shoot, you never know what it'll be like til you get there. Call ahead to inquire as to how busy they are on that particular evening. more

The food was great when we went and the prices were reasonable. We had to wait an hour (Sat night 09/29) which would've been fine exept one of the bartenders (the female) was rude and she couldn't make a drink to save her life. more

we waited 45 minutes for a salad that looked like it was scooped out of a slop bucket, then we stared at our empty salad plates & water glasses another hour & half until the appetizers. these showed with in minutes of cancelling the order. the kid's meals did not come out for 3 hours from the time we ordered. 4 1/2 hours after we arrived we were served after dinner coffee & dessert- we had to ask clean forks, milk & sugar. all this for $50 pp before tip. but the icing on the cake was the hostess that said "I really don't care" when i told her how long we were waiting for our lunch (well now dinner). i could go on but i wont. find another place. more

Portabello's is a fantastic place for lunch. The service is great and the prices are very reasonable for lunch. The food is delicious! The portions are huge! Just be careful not to fill up on the bread; it is So good! There are a lot of tables and they can do pretty decent size tables of people. There is also a nice bar there for the nighttime. Sometimes there can be a wait for lunch. They open at noon. more
