We popped in to Portals for a quick lunch bite during a break in the conference.
We were seated quickly and water glasses filled, but then we didn't see anyone for about 10 minutes. When our server did appear, he was helpful but the attentiveness remained spotty throughout our lunch. The view from the dining area is spectacular, gorgeous maintain setting.
I ordered the Wedge Salad (Daily's thick cut pepper bacon, shaved radish, green onions, tomato, crumbled Oregonzola, bleu cheese dressing) without radish and green onion but topped with a grilled chicken breast. Hubs ordered the Arrowhead Spinach Salad (Organic spinach, pepper bacon, roast tomato, red onion, sieved eggs, rye croutons, warm whole grain mustard dressing) topped with salmon. I hadn't had breakfast that day so I tucked into the fresh rolls basket, which was delicious.
The salads arrived and both were delicious. I am a saucy type of person and would have loved about double the blue cheese dressing. Also, there were about five very small pieces of bacon and five diced tomato bits. Would have really enjoyed more of both of these. Overall, the flavor of the salad was good and the blue cheese dressing was quite nice. The chicken added a nice element of flavor, as well.
