Dr. Shaw was born in Memphis, TN and has had a love of animals from the very beginning. He earned both his Bachelors Degree in Animal and Poultry Science and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University. His concentration lies in the area of small animal medicine, some exotics, general surgery, and holistic therapy. His life mission has been to bring care and protection to those who cannot always speak up for themselves. He does relief work for a number of pet rescue groups and shelters as a way of helping those pets with some life difficulties to find a new leash on life. These folks are not only exceptionally skilled, they understand how important the smallest pet can be to an owner, and how hard it can be when they pass. Whoever this person who had something bad to say about Pope animal clinic obvious had an axe to grind or was a former employee This clinic is one of the only ones to do spay and neuters for rescue groups for an afforadable price And to say anything negative about Dr Shaw is beyond a joke!! Never board your pets here. They put large dogs, sometimes muliples in cages that are too small. I asked for a tour and could not believe they gave me one considering the state of the kennel. In a room designated for cats where the kennels are large enough for a fat cat had 70 pound dogs crammed in them....they could not stand up nor turn around.
