I do not mean to point fingers but do want to leave an honest review. I've used the same groomer for years but my husband wanted to try something closer. I have two dogs and both looked horrible. They were not shaped correctly and had both nicks and razor burn. Within a few weeks one of my dogs began ripping his hair out of both sides. I brought him to the vet and was diagnosed with a staph infection. Very long story covering multiple vet visits, my dog was diagnosed with chiggars (scabies for dogs) Both animals were treated and my house had to be vacummed well and disinfected. I cannot prove this is where my dogs picked chiggars up, but everything tends to point to it. A very (VERY) expensive lesson for sure. Pros: location Cons: dirty environment, poor hair cut more

I agree with the negative reviews- I went there with my dog to check the place out as a possible day care site. The smell was absolutely nauseating! I have a strong stomach, but I almost lost it. Not just the smell of #2, but it smelled like an animal was sick. I peeked over to look at the area for day care, and there were a few dogs in there. Did not see anyone with them. As I looked in a boston terrier lifted his leg and peed on a pile of #2 that was on the floor. Saw other areas of #2 and #1 besides that. A border collie just STARED at me- he/she probably was trying to tell me to get him/her out of there! My dog and I just left, and I thought NO WAY. The grooming area (which is most of what you see when you walk in) was a big mess too. I was a dog and cat groomer when I was in my twenties, and where I worked we kept the place fairly organized and clean. To see this mess made me sad. It's a tough job, but to have animals in that atmosphere- there's no excuse. Word to the wise- I would NEVER recommend this place. Appears very unsafe and unhealthy. (sorry for the #1 and #2- but the site flagged the words I was trying to use first). Cons: Dirty, smelly, would stress out your dog and possibly make him/her sick more

I stumbled upon this site and read the reviews for Pooch Paradise and totally beleive these other reviews. I once worked for Heather and she has no business working with animals period. She is VERY aggressive with animals, plus she dosen't know a thing about cleaning up. Grooming shops need to be disinfected daily for obvious reasons. Be very afraid to bring your pets here. Cons: good chance of your pet to be traumatized more

This is by far the worst groomer in duluth. They do not listen and have no regard for dogs or owners. These people are obviosly not trained on how to groom . They have no idea on how breeds should be styled and just cut hair irrelevant to how the breed should look. I doubt that they are licenced , if they are it should be revocked. Stay away!!! Cons: no skill, no talent should be shut down more

AWFUL!! I walked in and the place was disgusting! There were dogs fighting with other dogs in the ""doggie daycare"" room where no animal is in a kennel - they are all free in a big room with no supervision. There were dogs ""riding"" on other dogs, biting, growling and fighting. One bigger dog had a smaller one pinned to the floor and the smaller one was crying out, but there was noone there to hear it. The grooming area was horrible smelling and disgustingly dirty. Once again, no animal was in a cage, there were cats and dogs of every size roaming freely. One groomer was working on a cat and constantly scruffing it (harshly) and yelling at it. I could not believe this business existed and has not yet been shut down. There are many more appropriate places to go in the Duluth area, please.....DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my first attempt at having my puppy groomed here, I walked in and walked right back out. I went to Auntie Maureen's Groom Room, much better!! If I could give it a negative rating, I would. I guess in this case a zero will have to do - even though that is to high of a rating. Pros: No Pros at all Cons: Disgusting, dirty, unprofessional, non-attentive staff, harsh to animals, YUCK! more
