I have been receiving chiropractic care for 20 years, so I know a good doc when I find one! I am new to Texas and had no care provider nor anyone to refer me to someone- I just got lucky and walked into Hill Country Chiropractic. Dr. Jim was flexible enough to fit me into the end of a very busy day at his office, although I had no prior appointment. I hadn't received any decent treatment for over 2 years- as I could not find a consistent chiropractor in S Florida- and in just 2 months of treatment Dr. Jim brought me back into a vibrant, pain-free condition again. The office has multiple treatment and payment options to fit everybody's health needs. This doctor is knowledgeable, dedicated and enthusiastic about attaining optimal health. I am so blessed to have been referred to Dr. Jim, who is truly a gifted Chiropractor! I take good care of myself and am in great health but last year for the first time in my life I developed back pain that grew worse and worse over the past year until I couldn't sit. I was experiencing numbness in my toe and pain literally from head to toe on one side. I tried medicine, massage therapy (which worked very temporarily), physical therapy (which unfortunately was extremely expensive and didn't work at all), regular exercise, stretching, yoga, you name it. I finally decided to take a friend's advice and try chiropractic care. A little scary to try I must admit. But Dr. Jim is experienced and knows what he's doing. A miraculous difference within the first 2 visits! I am seeing correction for problems I didn't know I had until they were gone. What a difference! Immediate TMJ improvement, clearer sinuses. And most of all, my back has stopped hurting for the first time in a year and the inflammation in my muscles and joints is healing! This is what I needed! Beautiful, inviting, professional office and staff. Dr. Jim treats the whole person and is a remarkable resource for restoring and maintaining optimal health. Dr. Jim is awesome! I've been to a few chiropractors before and have had very bad luck. From my first visit to see Dr. Jim, I have felt extremely comfortable and I always learn something new when I go in. I have never been able to be seen by a chiropractor for more than one or two appointments because I am so instinctively against adjustments but my back pain and headaches had gotten so bad I was desperate. I asked a co-worker and she recommended Hill Country Chiropractic. I went, I was in such pain that even the exam brought tears to my eyes, I had 15 out of 24 vertebrae restricted. I have been seeing Dr. Jim now for a couple of months, which is hard for me to believe, but he is so gentle and patient that I take the adjustments just fine. I had 70 percent improvement after the first treatment and am now better than I have ever been. I recommend Dr. Jim to anyone who talks about back trouble or headaches. I get chronic pain in my mid-spine which creates knots around my shoulders . . . one of those things you can only ignore for so long. I've had good and bad experiences with former chiropractors, so I did a lot of research before choosing a new chiropractor in the Round Rock area. Dr. Jim is the best. I am 24 years old and I was horrified to find out that my bad back (that I was medicating with a ridiculous amount of advil and aleve) started leading to circulatory problems with my leg. The worst part to me was the spider veins that were creeping up my left side from the bad leg that stemmed from the bad back. I'm a groomer, so of course the second worst thing was working. I was starting to think that I would have to change professions because lifting giant pooches was killing me. I hated the idea of any sort of surgery, being doped up on pain meds sounded just as bad, and I was really worried that I would have this problem for the rest of my life. I made the appt with ease- the availability was fantastic. I walked into the very clean and open office and was immediately greeted by the sweetest secretary, she was very courteous even though I was late (I had gotten lost). I was ushered into a room where I met Dr. Jim, he was very knowledgeable and he really listened to me and my problems! I was a little skeptical of it all at first, but his belief in his work is infectious and very well deserved! He worked absolute magic- not only with my back, but also with the financial aspect! For his prices you may expect something to be missing, whether it's quality of care or equipment, civility, or reliability- but everything is top of the line! His kindness really helped smooth over a medically rough month for me and I am so grateful. If every doctor would follow his lead, I'm sure people would never hesitate to go to the doctors. I haven't felt this good since I was a kid. The veins are disappearing (thank God, plastic surgery would have cost a bundle!), I don't have to stock up on economy sized bottles of aleve, and it seems like the fixed back has led to everything else in my body correcting itself! I am VERY happy and so are my co-workers who no longer have to lift my dogs for me! more

My son and I have been relying on Hill Country Chiropractic for our chiropractic needs for several years. The location and hours are convenient for our busy lifestyle. Dr. Jim and his staff are always courteous and make our visits a pleasure. \r \r His office plan is open without being intrusive even though other patients may be in the office at the same time. Let me start by saying that I am quite fussy when it comes to my chiropractic care. I interviewed a number of chiropractors prior to Dr. Jim. Many did not use techniques that I was comfortable with, some had office hours that I could not make, and then there was the one who I truly believe should have his license revoked. When I finally called Dr. Jim’s office, I was thrilled to be able to speak to him directly about his practice. I explained to him the kind of care I was looking for, my financial constraints and also asked a million questions which he graciously took the time to answer. Dr. Jim sounded like “the one,” but (me being me) I was still skeptical that he would live up to my high expectations. That was all put to rest at my first appointment. I was immediately welcomed into his office and from the beginning I was treated as a person instead of a dollar sign. I did not wait long but still got a sincere apology for the time that I did wait. Dr. Jim was very thorough which led to instant trust. His knowledge and understanding of the human body left no doubt in my mind that Dr. Jim was the one. Since then I have been going on a regular basis and the difference has been incredible. I am a full-time nanny of a 2-year old. When I started seeing Dr. Jim, picking up my not-so-little 2-year old boss was painful and sometimes near impossible. Now I pick him up with ease and on most days can keep up with his 2-year old antics. This is just one example! Many activities used to cause me regular discomfort in both my public and private life. My quality of health has gone up overall and I owe it to Dr. Jim. Even when issues have come up I have recovered from them much more quickly and with minimum disruption to my day to day life. If you are looking for a chiropractor who will “crack your back” and send you out the door Dr. Jim is not your guy. However, if you are looking for a chiropractor who will passionately invest his time and energy into ensuring that your health and quality of life improve, then interview no further. I have been asked on multiple occassions if I believe chiropractic works. My answer is... I don't believe it works. ""I KNOW IT WORKS"". Five years ago I was diagnosed with Fibro-myalgia, and I have been in excruciating pain from head to toe. I refused to take any ""pain management"" pills just to mask the pain I have been in. Since seeing Dr. Jim Pollard, I have not felt this good in FIVE years. He has also helped me with stress relief and posture issues. I have total control over my body now. I started see Dr. Jim two months ago for upper back and neck back that was causing me dizziness and headaches. After two weeks, all of my dizziness and headaches disappeared. Four years ago I was in a terrible car accident and had very painful lower back pain. I received physical therapy but still continued to have the pain.
