With your eyes closed, your sense of smell naturally becomes stronger, and for good reason at this relaxing gem of a spa... I have been to a few spas, but after researching dozens around Long Island, I decided to try Polished Skincare Lounge for two reasons: 1 - It was practically in my doorstep. 2 - The lounge-feel and delicious-sounding treatments made me feel like I was about to order from a tasty menu. I ""ordered"" the Classic Spa-tini Facial. After walking past the red velvet ropes, I entered the retro-funky lounge and was warmly greeted, served with an ice cold white wine (perfect for this scorching summer!). Crystal was the specialist who worked with me. From steaming, to extractions, and the most thorough exfoliation I've ever had, Crystal took such time and was so skilled in what she did. At some spas, people put a mask on your face and disappear for 20 minutes while you relax. This treatment included a facial and warming massage. My sense of smell picked up each lotion and cleanser, beginning with a lemony scent, to coconut, to passion fruit, to orange. What caught me by surprise in a great way was the peppermint oil rubbed around the scalp area, completely bringing me to relaxation heaven. 60 minutes felt like an amazing 3 hours. My face was radiant, renewed, and relaxed. If Polished Skincare Lounge was a restaurant, I'd give it the highest Michelin stars in the sky... Pros: Extensive ""Menu"", Skilled Employees more

I was very pleased with this spa. I went with my girl friend and we both loved it. Had a great pedicure. I would love to go again when I am in Long Island. more

It's been awhile since I treated myself to a facial and I really enjoyed it. My aestetician Crystal was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions while providing a wonderful and relaxing experience. I felt rejuvenated and my skin glowed! Can't wait to visit her again soon! :) more

Outstanding Spa Experience 12/1/2009

I have gone to many spas and had facials for many years trying to correct my sun damaged skin.\r Lisa, the owner of the spa and her staff are exceptionally talented and their facial treatments are outstanding. The spa atmosphere is wonderful and very creatively designed, and the customer service is tops. The “spa” experience begins as soon as you enter … ….the staff is so very pleasant, they make you feel very comfortable, offering you a beverage if you come early, while you wait for your appointment. I have never had to wait for my appointment, they are very professional. Lisa and Crystal have both given me treatments and my face has never look so good. I am amazed with my results time after time. My sister and I took our other sister to the spa for her birthday and I could not believe what a wonderful afternoon Lisa and her staff planned for us, a, robes and slippers to wear while we sipped Champaign and nibbled at fruit in our private sitting room. What a great afternoon…we plan on doing it again and again. I GET THE HYPE!! 11/24/2007

OMG!! Me and my sister just got our facials at polished. My other sister goes to Lisa but she was booked so we went to Crystal and Christina...They were amazing!! The front desk staff was super nice, and the estheticians were nothing but professional. Even though they only do facials its more than just an ordinary facial! My skin is glowing! Even my husband noticed!!! Thanks sis! Best gift eva! I look forward to my next birthday!! more

I don't get the hype 10/26/2007

I had he reserve facial and days later I had worse skin than before. I don't know what know what kind of cleaning they did but it didn't work at all. I wouldn't bother going out there and plus it wasn't as long as it was supposed to be. more

I went to a lot of place from new york to montauk.Most of them was very expensive place and I really did not like it because you spent a lot of money and you are not really happy with the results,friends of mine recomended polished skin care and I said why not give it a try and I am so pleased that I did.That was EXCELLENT! The owner (lisa who did my facial)she was great she has like 20 years experience and she knows what she is doing.If you are looking deep facial go to her you won't regret.It was worth every penny. more

Not your avarage spa dont do nails or massages, but really cute, retro and cozy. They give the best facials. I had the classic facial and not only do they pamper your face but also your upper body and hands. After I left I really did feel polished. Pros: specialized Cons: Not full service more

Just got back from getting my first facial at polished. I had gotten a gift certificate from my co-workers for my birthday.
