I called to inquire about classes and emailed with no response. Guess they don't want the business. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/4/2013

I recently moved to the tri state area. I have been working out on a pole for years and I have one at home. I found pole kittens via google. I called several times and left messages inquiring about classes. No one ever answered the phone or returned my calls. Finally, I was able to get a sitter and leave work early enough to make a class. So I decided to just show up. BIG MISTAKE. I arrived and was very swiftly informed by the instructor that they did not take walk ins. She didnt ask if I wanted to stay and watch a few minutes of the class to see if I could perform at the level of the other students or maybe i might like to come back another time. She didn't suggest an alternative class I could try. She did suggest I try Bella Forza pole studio instead. Which I did and I had a much better customer service experience at Bella Forza. Pole Kittens was a huge waste of my time. For the money you spend on these classes, you deserve excellent customer service. Unfortunately, pole kittens is obviously not the place for that. I wouldn't recommend Pole Kittens to anyone. Their own staff seems to recommend Bella Forza.... more

Like no other workout! 5/22/2011

I love, love, love working out at Pole Kittens! I've been working out for 25 years and this is the best work out, by far! Victoria and the other instructors have continually challenged me for 4 years and I don't plan on that changing, any time, soon! \r \r Victoria, the owner, saw that I was taking the classes for the athleticism and challenge of learning new skills and stunts, so she encouraged me to get my own pole and even told me where I could buy one. I was suprised to hear the one reviewer say that V chastized her for having her own pole and/or trying to learn new stunts on her own. I've never been discouraged nor have I ever heard V discourage anyone else from buying a pole, much less work on learning new moves. In fact, V told me how to find good videos for learning new pole stunts. I have heard ALL instructors correct students when we are doing something incorrectly and especially if we are doing something that could cause us to get hurt. Which, quite honestly, is 1 of the 2 reasons I continue to pay for classes. \r \r The other reason is that I know that they know what they are doing and they are able to teach these skills to others as well. \r \r And, yes, I have tried 1 other pole studio in Cincinnati, when a friend won a free class but she didn't want to go, alone. And from my 1 time there was reminded of the old saying...If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And, at Pole Kittens, it's not broke and thanks to the instructors, neither are any of my bones :-) more

A Year and Counting!!!!!!!! 5/12/2011

I have been with PoleKittens for over a year and love, love, love this studio. The instructors are amazing and very well trained. The owner is very supportive of all the Polekittens no matter what level of skill you are at. \r \r Polekittens allows you to move at your own pace and that is something I really like. I actually have a pole at my house and am encouraged by the instructors and the owner to advance my skills at home. I have never once been chastised from anyone at PoleKittens for practicing at home or learning new things from youtube or even a pole magazine. In fact, it's jus the opposite. I am constantly wanting to learn new and more advanced moves....and when I bring those moves in....they work with me to make sure I accomplish my goals. However, if I am not ready for a move, then I think they have the right to tell me I am not ready for that move. Safety is always a first and I have to say a MUST when dealing with the pole!!!! \r \r I love this place and I hope you will give it a try! more

take it from someone who knows...this studio is the best. 5/12/2011

Having taken lessons at other pole studios, I can vouch for the fact that Pole Kittens is the real deal. \r \r The instructors are approachable and friendly and the atmosphere unintimidating. \r \r Most importantly, the instructors have been training for years and are well suited to teach the pole-curious novice to the most advanced dancers. They emphasize safety above all, which is perhaps why the other reviewer had such a negative experience. It's called liability...If you are not strong in preliminary tricks, obviously, for your safety and that of the business, they aren't going to let you do them in-studio. That's just common sense. I have been dancing at Pole Kittens for a year and NEVER encountered that or any of the other issues the other reviewer noted.\r \r The best part about Pole Kittens as opposed to other experiences I've had is that you can move at your own pace. The instructors do not rush you through learning and class sizes are small so you get a great deal of individual attention. \r \r \r The class schedules are constantly being revamped, adding fresh, exciting opportunities to learn. I've excelled in my pole training and made tons of new friends in the process. I would recommend Pole Kittens to anyone looking for a fun way to get fit, learn or advance her skills, and to express and challenge herself. \r \r I've tried the rest....and there's no place like Pole Kittens!\r \r \r more

Unpleasant Attitudes 4/27/2011

Be careful if you go to this studio. You must do everything exactly the way that they tell you it should be done or they will kick you out and not let you come back. This could happen even after you've invested 5 months worth of time and money into their business. If you learn something by yourself (say you have your own pole), except to be chastised for it. Some of the ways they teach you to get into tricks are arbitrarily complicated, but you wouldn't know that unless you experienced other studios or instructors. And if you happen to experience other studios, expect to be kicked out. Most of the instructors are nice ladies, and deserve such credit, but the owner can be very cold in demeanor. more
