This is a great place for a quick getaway from the Bay Area on a budget. The youth hostel actually acommodates foreign backpackers to families with small children, and everything in between. Dorms are small and comfortable (they also have a room for families) and well worth the price of under $25 per person per night. There is a nice kitchen that everyone can use, along with a cozy living room.
The location can't be beat either- only a 5 minute walk from the beach and the beautiful trails at Point Reyes.
