This is the worst mechanic, and the rudest, most offensive staff I have ever encountered.
Brought my car here for an evaluation of a serious engine problem (ie, I couldn't move it anywhere else safely). This shop charges for initial estimates, but the price is "determined by how long it takes to make the estimate"--you just have to leave your car and wait for the call. And wait. And wait. I left my car at 7:45 am and was not called until 3:30 in the afternoon. But that's not the worst part. When I eventually drove the car away, it was in far worse shape than when I brought it in--combustion smoke, loose "feel" to the brakes, louder ticking noises.
Turns out my car needs a new engine. The owner of the shop agreed to let me keep the car there for a few days to arrange towing, etc. He charged $20/night, which I agreed to pay. When I came to pay for the estimate and pay for a few days' storage, the two men working there were so hostile that I was concerned for my safety. One sat and glared at me, and the other said, "I think you should take your car and leave. We don't want your business, this place is not a junkyard, and I'm sick of your personal business. If you don't leave right now I'm going to have to throw you out."
I was so alarmed by this out-of-nowhere hostility that I took my car and left. There are plenty of other places on this street to get your car fixed--don't go to Gulf P.M. Auto!
Pros: none
Cons: hostile service, poor workmanship, expensive estimates
