I chose Plymouth Plumbing to repair a shutoff valve because they would schedule a specific appointment time and quoted what seemed to be a reasonable price ($80 an hour plus parts). Unfortunately, they failed to come through in both categories.\r

1. The plumber called at our scheduled appointment time (after I had already taken time off of work) to inform me he had a more urgent (e.g. profitable) call and I would have to be rescheduled. So much for scheduling appointments, but at least he called.\r

2. When he came out for the rescheduled visit- he damaged a drain valve during the repair and chose to cap it instead of properly repairing his mistake.\r

3. He was finished after 45 minutes in the house and announced a bill of $175!!! He acted insulted when I asked for a breakdown of the parts and labor but reluctantly wrote one up. I was being charged $65 for a valve I later found on Amazon for $30 (his price would be considerably less with a bulk discount). I was also being charged $10
more
