Don't expect to find anything remotely healthy at this place. It is a local restaurant/bar that tends to get very smoky, loud and is great fun. The menu has primarily comfort-food and nothing anyone watching calories should be eating. There is the typical burgers, fries, chicken, soups and pasta. At my last visit I had a surprisingly good steak.
Ambiance is typical wooden bar and booths and is pretty dated.
There are daily dinner specials that keep the senior citizens coming through the door at a rapid pace. The bar is packed with locals of all ages - usually watching a sporting event.
Don't go to the Plumstead for gourmet food, but go for a nice meal at very fair prices while mingling with the locals!
