Great Place, Great People 10/28/2011

I was very impressed with the amount of service I received at Pleasant Valley. They had a great selection of tropical plants, and things that are different and out of the ordinary, even at this time of year. In the spring, I would venture to say that they undoubtedly have the nicest plants in Iowa City. And on top of that, a knowledgeable staff that is willing to go out of their way to help. I also learned that this is a family ran business that is second generation. Neat place. Definitely check out! more

Pleasant Valley Nursery 6/7/2006

When I want gardening information as well as quality products I go to the Pleasant Valley Garden Center and Nursery. They carry a huge assortment of plants and are very knowledgeable and all things pertaining to gardening. They are also helpful in helping to pick out plants for certain soil types or will have you bring in a soil sample if you aren't sure what your soil type is. This is a very big help when planning a flower garden. Many of us have moved into the area and find that what grew in our former homes is not suited to the area we are living in now. Pleasant Valley Nursery provides everything you need to get started no matter what type of garden you are planning. more

Another gardening Center 4/7/2006

I really like this location. It is quite easy to get to when you are on the south side of Iowa City. The store is not so large you can not scope it out and not get tired doing so. The employees are quite helpful in locating necessary items. We went looking for some special potting stuff and described it not knowing the name. The gal was good, she was able to take us right to the stuff we wanted! Sometimes those big chains just do not have employees that are very knowledgable. Sometimes it is difficult to get out of the parking lot when the street is so dag gum busy. more

Pleasant Valley in Iowa City 8/17/2005

Pleasant Valley located in Iowa City Iowa is a great place to go for all of your flower needs. I have purchased several green and blooming plants and they are great. They also sell fresh flowers and much more. Pleasant Valley also offers Worldwide Delivery. I would recommend Pleasant Valley to anyone. more
