Plaza Barber Shop & Hair Salon

I've lived in Milford a long time, and tried several different places. I started going to Plaza back when the original owner was still there. They went though a few folks working there, but once Ana and Susanna came along, it just got better. These girls know me and the whole family, though we might be the only ones in Milford one or both is not related to. It is a great place to go and shoot the breeze, have a friendly chit chat and get your hair done. They do extra stuff for free (like a clean up trim between cuts, or fixing my daughters bangs) and always have a good attitude. I won't go anywhere else. more

Plaza Barber shop is one of the best salons in Milford. The two ladies there do joke around but never with the intention of hurting your feelings. If you dont like it then tell them. I have been going there since i was little. John the guy has been cutting my hair for ever. One of the ladies did my prom updo and she did it perfectly. I didnt even have a picture and she got it right. I have also gone there for weddings and they do the updo's fast and with quality. They might joke around and stuff but it's just part of the portuguese culture. They create a commrodery with their clients and take the time to learn and remember your name. You can tell how long these three have worked together just by the way they interact. They keep the place spotless and answer the phones themselves. All of this while cutting and styling your hair. There prices are reasonable compared with just going down main street to another salon triple their prices and getting your hair done by someone who cant speak English. You either like the place or you dont. It's not one of those stuffy high priced salons where the hairdresser dose your hair as fast as possible with out ever saying two words to you. If thats what you want go somewhere else. If what you want is everything I described before go to Plaza Barber Shop. Pros: They take the time to remeber your name. They joke around. Everyones always laughing. Cons: There's never a dull moment. Your not paying a ton. You can't sleep through it. more

I've been a customer of Plaza Barber Shop for over 10 years. The two ""ladies"" Ana, and Susana, are great. I've had my hair done there for atleast 5 weddings and have gotten nothing but complements. They work very hard on wedding parties, especially when you have 11 up-do's to do. They joke and play around to get the mood up beat, it's hard to be pleasant at 5 in the morning. They're prices are extremely competitive, and if you ask me they're underpriced for the amazing job that they do. more

This was the worst hairdresser that I have ever been to. The two ladies were absoulutely the rudest people that I have ever met. I am a customer and am paying them $, (overpaying them, might I add) and all they did was pick on me in front of all of our private party guests as well as other walk in customers. You could not pay me a million dollars to go there. On top of being trolas, they didn't even do the hairstyle that I requested?!?!? Pros: Not even one. Cons: Rude, Rude, Rude more
