Old School Skating Rink 9/13/2005

I realize that the biggest audience for skating rinks is kids. However, kids are the reason I stopped going to skating rinks: always tripping you up, being sticky, and the music they play -- ugh! But Playland has taken care of all that. They offer an Adult Night on Tuesdays!! They feature music from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, have contests such as limbo and speed skating, and best thing -- no kids! It's true to the roots of "Old School". You never know who you might meet at Adult Night. Everyone is friendly, more than helpful, and some even wear costumes. It's just one great time and I highly recommend it to everyone. more
